AK V 10,10

I am playing a live tournament £20 freezeout , i have played 5 hands in 2 hours and have about 10k in chips from an opening 3k,i havent shown hand and am playing well and confident of progressing further.

I am in cut off ,blinds are 100/200 and there are 2 early min raises to 400 , theres 1,300 on the table and i have AK diamonds i raise to 1,600 and its folded round to utg who calls ,the pot is 4,100,
I have a read on the caller and have him on a mid pair certainly nothing higher than 10s,
Flop comes Jd 7d 7c,I bet out with 3,500 leaving me about 5k he immediately calls , i am in bother .
Turn is no help 2h,he bets 2k,i tell him his 10,10 is no good and move all in for my remaining 5k,he calls immediately and shows 10,10, river is ACE CLUBS and hes not to impressed, tells me i am the worst poker player in the world,i dont think i did much wrong here opinions welcome

Why? at this stage it is 50/50 well 49/51 I am making a pretty standard continuation bet, i would say the call with 10,10 was the shocking move, how could he call with 10,10 what was he beating , still its all about opinion but there is no way i am checking here.

Re: AK V 10,10

preflop is ok by both players IMO - he may well have had a read on you too!

making a cb on the flop makes perfect sense, but a smaller bet would probably do - 2500 or 3K

The turn is horrible. I'm not crazy about his flop call, and I hope for his sake he had a VERY good read on you. His bet is daft - you have to call - even with your hand or an underpair to the board - with such massive odds. What he's also doing is allowing you escape on the river if you want to. Your move has to be called by him given the pot odds. He'd have been far better off moving in on the flop and giving you a much harder decision.

My preferred move if you're going to lead at the flop almost regardless would be to move all-in pre-flop. You've a big hand and there are 1300 chips worth winning. You'll get to see all 5 cards and it'll be very hard for any of the early hands to call you unless they've limped in with AA or KK.
A better play by him (IMO) if he reads you for AK would be to lead that flop, or even check-raise you all-in - particularly if he is large stacked compared to you.

because at that stage your hand is only A high, it was worth seeing the flop with AK suited obviously but for me, if as you say you thought he had a pair then the only thing to do is let him have the pot. i can see why you carried on though, nobody had seen your cards before then so you couldve been dealt anything as far as hes concerned. at the same time folding wouldve made you look weak for what sounds like the first time in the game, but fuck that if you havent got a hand then you havent got a hand.. at least you wouldve been left in a reasonable position to keep going

glad to hear you got out of it though, it couldve been an expensive one and left you chasing the tournament to failure.
