Played well?

I thought I played this hand pretty well, and got as much as possible from it. My turn and river checks were hoping he would fire in bets at me, on both counts he didn't let me down. Was I risking it a bit? Should I have came steaming over the top of him after his turn bet? For the record ; I had it in my head that he had KQ, bit off the mark with that and seeing what he did have I don't know why he stuck with it so long.

Any comments or criticism welcome as always.

Re: Played well?

Holy fcuk i would have thought that fella would have had more. I would...actually this is cash and short handed Ed so i should revise my thoughts. Actually i would have reraised on the flop and then shat it if he put me all in. If he had called me then i would have felt a hell of a lot better seeing the 8 but still been wary of him having AQ or QQ. I suppose he could have had a load of hands Aye i think i would have reraised on the flop and if he reraised me or put me all in i would have folded

Re: Played well?

I know it's hard to comment just looking at the hand komp. Obviously you can't get any history of what type of player he is etc. Basically he was aggressive as hell and had been busted once or twice with not great hands. Yes the risks were there but I was pretty confident I was ahead even without the 8 on the turn.

Re: Played well?

Hi Ed

Pre-flop and flop are fine. If you're gonna check the turn, then check/raise it, otherwise I would donk into him. As played river check/call is ok, but you probably have missed value from someone who may actually hold AK/AJ/AT etc here.

No point raising the river alex as he wouldn't have called anyway.

Maybe not, but would it have cost you anything in case he was feeling generous?

True Quandrum, maybe should have popped in a re-raise on the river, but, as I said, would've been a fruitless exercise as no way was he calling, he had nothing and surely didn't think his J high was good.

Re: Played well?

Ah ha! But you thought he had KQ! I'd have almost certainly raised on the river but considering I'm currently ogling avatar cleavage on the $1 STT's on PKR.... everything I say with regards poker should be discarded.

Okay okay!! Can't recall exactly now but I've obviously had some fear that maybe I got it wrong (a common thing with me) and he had a monster, hence the no raise.

Happy now you bstrds? You dragged it out me. I bloody played it well damnit!!
