2 Dire Folds Against Same Opponent. Help Please!!!!

2 hands in the space of 5 minutes against the same opponent. Villain is meimei666, a multi-tabling Semi-Loose player (stats 24/3/3.7). I think hand 2 is ok, however I'm not so sure about hand 1.

The only history with him is that I raised the pot on the flop a few hands before this first hand. I had trip J's, he folded. I am playing Tight-Aggressive.

Hand 1: Because I've slowplayed the flop, should I be shoving/calling this re-raise on the turn, or is a fold solid?

Re: 2 Dire Folds Against Same Opponent. Help Please!!!!

Hand 1:

I have to be honest, I dont like the check on the flop. You said you slowplaying so you think you have the best hand here, if thats the case I dont see how the turn has improved his hand. Its hard to guess his range from the bb but if he is loose but I think he prolly check/calls his 5 if he has it, I would think he checks nothing as well expecting you to bet. When you dont his $1 bet is one of those bets that I hate, its like a miniraise, your never sure whether its extreme strength or nothing, when he reraises I would be tempted to push if I was in this spot and if he has the 5 pfft. I would have potted it on the flop and been happy to take it down there. I think theres a strong possibility that he has 88s, 99s or 10s something like that and he thinks your weak.

Hand 2:
I fold and play it exactly like you did I think.

Hand 2:

I fold also.

Hand 1:
The turn didn't help him. I'd push.

Hand:1

I really don't like the check on the flop. It's difficult to determine how your opponent feels about that check, is he considering that you may be slow playing a monster or is he thinking you're weak on the flop?

What hands can he have called with that have you beat on the turn? I'm thinking 4's are a possibility or he may have hit trip 5's calling with suited connectors. I'll rule out a donkish call with K5.

He puts a small feeler out on the turn, which we're having trouble interpreting, if you'd asked asked a question of him on the flop we may know better where he is. You raise which is the correct play and he comes over either thinking you're bluffing or he has a good hand.

From his point of view he's got to know you're holding AK a high% of the time here, or even KK or AA sometimes. If he is a decent player and he is bluffing at you he's relying on you folding these hands here, not an easy fold. How tight have you been?

Can an arguement be made for just calling the turn? You have position on the river and if you've called him on the turn is he really going to try and push you off your premium hands on the river? Considering his range is the river likely to improve a bluff into a hand that's beating you? Is he raising with the straight draw? The call on the turn might give a better idea of where you are.

Ok, so I'd call this bet but I'd love someone to explain to me why that's not a smart move, Raisin?

Nah, just a cold spell innit raisin, keep with it man. Thanks to everyone for their comments, I think Pistol's post is very goot and I would just think that was the optimum move over raisin's shove. Thanks Waz as well m8

The only reason I checked the flop is for balance. I would check QQ-66 here so sometimes I do check a good K (and occasionally AA to a thinking player).
