Re: MANS BEST FRIEND!
Nice going yesterday mate. Have you thought of keeping a running profit and loss update on this thread?
Saturday is my "gambling like a blind idiot" day, so I'll join you in the two this afternoon. What I don't like about dog betting is that you don't get the prices until just before the off. It's obvious why and it's all very sensible as it's the most twisted sport in the country and the bookies would be bankrupt if they put up early prices on every race but it's annoying for me as I like to vary my stakes according to prices and I can't really do that on the dogs. Good luck though |

Bugger, I see the first race has already gone - better check the result. My paper has Quiver's Reason as its selection.
back soon |

Last and second last
. Phew, I was sweating then thinking I'd missed a winner. I hate that as a start to a gambling day.I'm doubling up on your second one. |

Re: MANS BEST FRIEND!
Tell ya what mate. A very small minority of races are fiddled. It's the same with horses too tho. The trainers are hit with fines and suspensions if caught. There was one at sheffield recently. I love dog racing. You get compulsive idiots in the bookies who will back a dog, it'll get bumped out of the race, then you hear them shouting, fixed!! I feel like chinning them. Lol! Generally, the prices for bags dogs races are up 3 or 4 minutes b4 the off. That gives you plenty of time to back according to price. I try my best to not back worse than 7/2, tho if something looks a good thing i back it regardless. Over the weekend i backed 24 greyhounds. 14 of them won. Took plenty of cash off various bookies. Horse racing makes the bookies money and also them shitty roullette machines. If you want to make money on greyhounds follow paul youngs dogs at romford. He has about 15 winners a week. Hes had 3 winners tonght. Anyway, hope your interest in the dogs will blossom. Its nice to have comments on the thread. I will try my best to put up regular winners. Its the greyhound grand national tomoz night on sky. Toomaline jack will piss it. Odds on tho probs.

Re: MANS BEST FRIEND!
I will keep an eye out for the guy you mention, thanks.
Funnily enough, I backed Toomaline Jack during the run up to the greyhound Derby. Won a couple of times but lost in the final I believe. I backed that and another one who's name escapes me. I'd had a few beers on various Saturday nights and TJ was tipped in the Racing Ahead newspaper. I'd had a few winners so banged a bit on the dogs and watched it run in the bookies. I don't have the time or patience to hang around waiting for the prices to come out but I think I'll pick and chose the odd one when I'm around. Keep up the good work |

Re: MANS BEST FRIEND!
TJ is around 1/2. Given, as you said, that any dog can get bumped or do something stupid, that's too short for my liking.
Reminds me of a tip I got from a mate who runs dogs, he said that if it broke in front , it won piss the race. It broke well and I was already wondering how to spend my winnings but just as it was taking the first bend a dog inside it ran full pelt straight into the bloody thing and took it off its feet ![]() |

Re: MANS BEST FRIEND!
Think romeo vieri has solid claims today in the 12.47 at nottingham. Also like 6 and 1 for a twist f'cast. And 1 and 2 aswell. Its a wee bit wet out today. If there does appear to be a track bias, Go with 6 to win and 5 second.

Re: MANS BEST FRIEND!
You fookin beauty!! 4 and 2 reversed came in. Just missed out on the winner with T2. Led til just b4 the line. 7/2 and 5/1. Had a fiver reversed. Layed out 40 quid this morning and got back just over 130 quid. Fancy midway skipper tonight at wimbledon on sky. Think i'll have 20 on it. Should be around evens. 99% sure she'll win. If not, im still 70 up for the day. Later folks. Good luck. Oh, by the way, don't follow horses but seen a preview on at the races before and william butler looks banker material at 7.40, stratford. One of two rides for the jockey. Think 6/4 is about at the mo.

Re: MANS BEST FRIEND!
bollocks!! 6/1 2nd. Arrrgghhhhh!!! Tenner down the drain. Seen as it was 6/1 had a 5 pound win and 2.50 twist f'cast. Gonna weigh in with this one at 5.07 at hove. T1 and T1/T4 twist f'cast. Bollocks crossed this time. Possibly ten pound win and fiver twist, dependant on prices. Or may just go for it. Hmmmm.
