Hi there,

I'm off to Swindon tomorrow lunchtime to watch the greyhound racing for the first time!

Just wondered if anyone had any general tips on how to pick a winner

Or, specific names of dogs I should choose!

I would say take note of the previous times, I don't normally focus on anything other than the last 2 outing. Make sure that its over the same distance, and that the trap draw is as similar as possible to them (T1's last outing was from trap 6 and a 29.85 and the two before it were traps 1 and 2 with 28.60 and 28.77 then concentrate on the latter two)

Also, watch for gambles.

I also read somewhere that heavier dogs generally perform better in the wet - any truth to this?

Greyhound racing is probably our weakest link here at TDP. There are a few interested who seem knowledgable so hopefully one or two can pop there heads in to give you some information.

Nah truth be told Felt ive been up for almost 3 days and ive spent all my money. i cant even back what i pick so i cant be bothered. I need ot go get money tomorrow. sounds like some top advice from Pete there though Felt. Good luck today and i hope yopu have a good and profitable day
