Ryder Cup starts this friday - on current form Europe look a good thing but odds reflect that.

ANybody any views ?

like you i think it'll be an european win , not tempted by the 1.7 though
weather forecast is rain , ,that should be an advantage to europe , there is always some americans shying away from the open and that is played in the summer
plenty of markets available , i'm considering the correct score , perhaps having three selections , prices are 10s or above

The weather is going to be wet and wild and that will play into the Europeans hands i think - Ryder Cup or not the Americans dont like ruff weather.

Luke Donald is playing really well at the moment and I'm going to back him as top European scorer and also I really like the pairing of him and Padraig.

Harrington hasn't won a Ryder cup game for some time but i do think they'll get the better of bubba watson and overton

although i think europe will win but they've been cut to 4/7 and that makes no appeal

From what I remember, Europe tend to get the best of day 1. I can't see anything but a trouncing for them tomorrow. If they come out of the morning matches any closer than 2.5 to 1.5 I'll be absolutely amazed and I think that's the closest they'll be all weekend.

Could be all over by the time I sit down for Sunday dinner.

i'm backing usa at 3.8 with betfair as i can see some of the europeans struggling under pressure

I fancy Jimenez against the mentally unstable Bubba Watson. Miguel came through under pressure today and is a solid player. Watson has spent the first 3 days being largely carried by Overton and I'll be surprised if he doesn't give Miguel a few too many holes. Though it's tough to back Overton against Fisher who's one of the top matchplay golfers in the world.

Hanson is overpriced against Mickleson but you wonder how much that match may count. On performance so far I'd have Cink shorter to turn over McIlroy but it's a brave man that bets against Rory.
