Well its Masters time again. Probably the easiest one to predict due to the invited nature of the field. Tiger Woods will bring an excellent gof game to the tournament and would be worth a gamble to Win. Others in form would be Els, Westwood, Casey. BUT a value each way bet could be Vaughan Taylor. Local Augusta boy recent Ryder cupper and would be worth an each way bet. Several top ten finishes this year already.

Re: THE MASTERS
Decided a few weeks ago on Lucas Glover. Although he's still not firing, I do think he's best on tough courses. Backed him at 170.0 and 25/1 for 1st 5. I will also back himto make the cut if there any markets available.

Re: THE MASTERS
I couldnt touch him at those odds, mate. Its well documented that this is the easiest place for him to return due to crowds, security etc so hes obviously taking the easiest route. if it wasnt going to bother him he'd have just returned wherever.
People thought Schumacher would piss all over F1 when he reappeared as well

Re: THE MASTERS
5 to watch
Obviously Tiger....duhhh Kim, he just came off a win, can get out of any trouble and if his putter is hot, case closed. Camilo, he's hungry to make a name for himself and he's good enough. Sergio, been laying low, drinkin and runnin with the gals.....but when he's hot,,,,,,he's hot. Stenson, he's the black horse, this course fits him. |

Re: THE MASTERS
Woods looks a reasonable price....I dont see there being any mental issues - mentally he's the strongest golfer around, and the Masters offers a relatively comfortable and familiar feel. He'll have lots of the old boys network around him, carefully controlled press conferences and very supportive galleries, you could even suggest that he could be more at peace now that prior to the uproar given what must have been going on in his private life at that time...he didnt do great in the 09 majors, perhaps the muddled private life was the reason...? Certainly wont see the temperamental Tiger that we saw that year.
Big media scrum but its Tiger, there always is. Biggest concern would be how much practice he's had - but he has performed well after long lay offs before(and the lay off hasnt been that long, he's still the best golfer in the world by a country mile.) Course suits, favours the longer hitters and is forgiving to wayward drives as long as they are long, even with the tiger proofing of recent years. Who knows, as much as I dislike the guy I'll be treading very carefully this week, may not be on him but more likely to have bets in the without tiger market. |

Re: THE MASTERS
Steve Flesch, who? well hes managed to finish T5 in 2008 and T6 in 2009 in this event,he last won on tour in 2007 twice.Whats amazing with this guy he always plays pretty poorly leading up to this event missing loads of cuts then he makes a bold show in the Masters,he must like this course 2004 t17 2005 t29,didnt play 06 and 07.
paddypower 5's for a top 20 finish and 16's generally for a top 10 finish Hes odds on in hes 3-ball. Gonna throw a tiny bet at these. |

Re: THE MASTERS
here's my bets with my "reasoning"
Tiger ..straight win ...because he's the best in the world , so he must have a chance my e.w. bets Couples .Kaymer ...backing these two following reading the preview in Sunday's Observer Cink .Stenson ...no logic , always have a punt on these two in majors Kenny Perry ... with a name like that I can't resist from my reasoning you can deduct that my golf knowledge is minimal good luck with your bets |

Re: THE MASTERS
Can't see Tiger winning, he may be the greatest golfer ever but 5 months away plus the circus that is going to surround him...........
All that takes pressure off others & I think some of the "elderly" gents may have a shout, Notably Lefty & The Big Easy, I'm taking them for the win & at least a place. Surprised nobody mentioned Harrington, he's been humming along nicely over the last while & the fact that he will be completely out of the media spotlight will suit him. Again, win & place. All of the above helped by the offers on many sites that IF Tigger wins they'll pay out on second place.... GL to all PS; if you don't know who the first two golfers are I suggest you leave here immediately & return to the soccer forum where you belong

Re: THE MASTERS
Hi All
An exciting tournament in prospect. We've pulled together some excellent tips across a number of markets....TOP GB & Ire attracts as do the Top Deb and T10 & T20 markets. Our Double Your Money feature is popular and profitable as well! Overall love the look of The Goose, Spiderman, Big Jim plus Kuchar and Zach look like superb value. My advice is to also look for strong wind positive players as gusty wind forecast Augusta, Georgia (30901) Conditions & Forecast : Weather Underground Best of Luck guys. |

Re: THE MASTERS
Ditto Win - Main bet of 5pts Casey e/w @ 28/1 with Betfred for me(I'll take Paul rather than James though
). Good price now that he is fully over his recent injuries, and has shown plenty ability round Augusta in recent years. Can close it out if he hits the front too. Also, Boylesports offer of paying out 2nd place as the winner if Tiger wins is outstanding, so time to chuck a few darts at some players who might just do something at near market best prices... 0.5pts Moore e/w @ 150/1 0.4pts Flesch e/w @ 250/1 0.4pts Slocum e/w @ 300/1 0.3pts Barnes e/w @ 400/1 0.1pts Mize e/w @ 5000/1 ( , dont laugh, he shot a 67 last year, putting him alongside the other old duffers is a little disrespectful!)GL all, should be a good 4 days! |
