Re: Transitions Championship
Im not sure he is a good bet Squire
I like the fact the putters working,the driver isnt when it comes to accuracy,although thats never been a strong point with him,and with 5 par 3's on this course another chink in his armour,has no form in this event which is another negative,he probably represents poor value as a betting proporsition at this moment imho mate. Im looking at Chris Di Marco not as the winner but more of a place bet,has been shooting some good rounds in amongst some poor ones,straight off the tee and the putters working fine are more positives,he made a dreadful start in 2008 and hence missed the cut in this event,but when you look at 2007 he had similar form and he finished t19th he shot 3 great rounds of 69 only to blow up and shot 74 final round and end up with 281,when you consider last years winner won with 280 you can see that he might just be an ew steal,150s avaliable and skybet and boylesports go best for 1st round leader @ 125 although for those with bet365 accounts 110's is avaliable,bet365 are the only ones showing a top american market and hes not quoted

Re: Transitions Championship
Initial selections (both for a place);
John Senden 45/1 e/w Finished 2nd in this tournament the last two years, so is good value for a point e/w David Toms 33/1 e/w 3 top six finishes in the last 5 events and his accuracy will stand him in good sted around the Copperhead course. Lets hope one of us gets some e/w money, if not the winner. Good luck

Re: Transitions Championship
Hello Everybody.
Tips for this week as below: KJ Choi Win @ 22-1 Boylesports The harder the course, the more likely you’ll see KJ at the top of the leaderboard. He has won here twice and at the three weeks ago Northern Trust showed signs of returning to his best form. John Senden EW @ 55-1 Stan James Copperhead is ‘Senden Heaven’. For tee to green consistency and ball striking the Australian has few peers. John has contended for the win, the past 2 seasons at this course and in decent enough nick form wise this season. Carl Pettersson EW @ 66-1 General Remember what I said about local knowledge. Well the Swedish, log cabin living resident, studied and still lives in North Carolina (bear with me). Copperhead with its elevations and tree lined fairways plays like a North Carolina course, where Pettersson traditionally excels, just look at his Wyndham win in 2008. Started the year sluggishly but if he can add a little to his accuracy off the tee, will contend here. Jonathan Byrd T10 @ 10-1 Bet 365 I’m sticking with Mr Byrd for a second week. This is a ball strikers course, where players have to be able to shape both ways. Byrd sits 5th in ball striking in 2009 showed that slowly he’s turning his form around in Puerto Rico last week. Performs well here. Joe Durant T10 @ 10/1 Bet 365 The Floridian based player, has traditionally performed well at Copperhead. 3 Top 10s in 7 attempts here. Straight and accurate. Starting to find some form in 2009. Troy Matteson T10 @ 10/1 Bet 365 Tampa Bay local who plays the Copperhead well. Not in decent form, but wasn’t last year, when he missed 3 cuts prior to placing T2 here. Kent Jones T10 @ 18/1 Bet 365 It’s a hunch! Has played well here in the past and his record in North Carolina has always been decent. A decent value long shot. The very best of luck to all forum members this week. Should be a great tournament on a tough course.

Re: Transitions Championship
Hi Squire
We have a free pga tour predictor model that generates picks for each tournament. It effectively crunches data and predicts the best 10 picks based upon every tournaments own course/set up characteristics. Been developing for 2 years, but accuracy is continually improving. Best thing is it has a user interface so you can reset and easily build your own personal model based on your own golf/punting knowledge. Helps build a selection picture for every different tournament. Best of luck for all forum members picks today
