Some quick thoughts incase anyone fancies a punt.
I think
Garcia is a decent proposition at the 3/1 which is available on the Spaniard - his ending to 2008 has been nothing short of phenomenal and while his record isnt great in this tournament, he's an entirely different player nowadays. Likes this course too.
The chasing pack doesnt look hugely strong to me - Karlsson and Stenson come into this in good form, but are sure to be more than a little jaded having clocked up a lot of air miles recently. Stenson has the better course form of the two but question marks remain over his ability to close out a win, particularly in this company.
Another with very good course form is last years winner,
Trevor Immelman @ 10/1. He isnt in the greatest of form, but plays his best stuff in South Africa, and with penalising rough in Sun City, his straight driving could be key if he can rediscover the form which saw him take the masters.
Finally,
Lee Westwood @ 8/1 is perhaps worth a little stab in the dark after his lay off and tonsil operation. He's got a great record round this course, and while he has problems getting over the finishing line, if he is in good health and a good state of mind then he is a huge contender here. Whether he is or not is anyones guess, but worth a punt at the odds.
Could also make a case for
James Kingston - he's not great, but in a 12 runner event I dont think any player should be up at 60/1(
Betfair.)
Thats the 4 I think are worth a look and I'll be doing my early trading on them.
