Italian Open - European Tour

Venue since '94 has been Castello di Tolcinasco G & CC.

My immediate thoughts take me to Bradley Dredge in 2005 started his season poorly finished T-2nd again showed poor form previous to this event to finish 6th,although in 2007 he again showed poor previous form but could only finish T-47.Hes around the 9/1 mark in the Top GB and Ireland market and looks to have only N.Dougherty to beat.

Starts Thursday morning MIG - Hansen played v. well in Spain until hitting the front, not once but twice...needs a set of blinkers that lad. Aslong as no one shows him a leaderboard at any point, he's fine - and certainly a contender, altho a place punt might be the better option.

No one stands out for me here so "Big 8, 15/8 PP"
& if I can I'll look in over the weekend.

Re: Italian Open - European Tour

My apologies MIG - I was talking about the wrong Hansen - having my head focused on the Players Champs didn't help and I was on about Soren.

Anyway:

Looks a little trappy and I'll just stick a tentative toe in the water here. Karlsson shot the lights out today but its always a big ask to do so again after a round like that.

With the pack bunched up at 3-5 shots back, just over even money looks plenty too short - on a standard course fair enough, but around here where -6 is the norm with every hole a good birdie chance then that lead can evaporate in no time.

There's quite a few live contenders who look well placed for a big round tomorrow, and Karlsson dominating the market means the prices look decent...

2pts Otto @ 11
2pts Hansen @ 11
1.5pts Foster @ 13
0.6pts Fraser @ 50
0.6pts Archer @ 40
0.4pts Dredge @ 24

A look at the Players Champs in the morning.
