AT&T Pebble Beach
Back to lay: Parker McLachlin @ 65-75
Two solid opening rounds of 70, and has an advantage in having Pebble Beach for the last 2, which has been giving up the better scores over the opening 2 days. Sitting 3 off the pace, and has a great opportunity to make a move here and set himself up for tomorrow. Less pressure with the 3rd round scoring I think, as he's amongst a host of possibles so less likely to feel the heat of the media....and that's a bonus. Bit disappointed he didn't pick up at least a shot on the back 9 at Spyglass, but he's been solid, not spectacular in his play , and another -3 or -4 will see him much shorter in the market. GIR stats could do with improving as he's currently running at 63.9%, although it's better than 2007's season average of 60%!!...not the straighest driver of a ball either, but his putting keeps him in the game: ranked 18th for 2007 in Putts per round. This is his 3rd comp of 2008, and he had T10 and T29 in the other two, so he's got form. |

Re: AT&T Pebble Beach
Bollocks. Parker 'pen' would have played better.
Vijay was @ 12's before the start of Rd 3 and I let him slide as he'd not been seeing it out lately...what a mug! Got a few quid on Jacobson and he's still in the mix, but still looks tight at the top....I feel a Vijay 'LAY' coming on @ 2.00-ish..mmmmmm....nice. Jazz. |
