With a couple of shots between 2nd and 3rd, this may just develop into a 2 horse race today and most bookies are offering 6/1 on Havret winning the tournament with Mickelson at 2/5.
I know Mickelson is the worthy favourite but those odds are crazy imo! Mickelson is still suffering some pain from his wrist injury and Havret has his confidence back having got a new putter and using Ernie Els's mind coach to get his head back together.
In calm conditions, Havret hit a second round 64 so he knows how to get round this course when there's no wind. In windier conditions yesterday, he still got round in a one-under-par 70 with Mickelson's experience probably telling with a 68 to take the overall lead. The forecast today is for calm conditions again although its going to get cloudier later this afternoon. Hopefully the lack of wind will sway the balance back into Levret's favour.
Mickelson might romp away and win this but at 6/1, Lavret seems like a value bet to me.
