I remember watching the five way playoff in 2005,we cant going back and forth it made a for a fantastic finale.

A very big price player is going to emerge in this tourney,but I cant spot him.
Favourite Stewart Cink (ranked 34th) 3 and 5th in hes last two tourneys has been top 10 placed in this tourney,finished 24th last year.
Zach Johnson (ranked 9th) finished 2nd last year,saying that he hasnt built on hes Masters win,and you have to go back to 2004 for hes last win which was in this event.
Im stuck on a player to recommend,does anyone see a player worth recommending?
Most of the big guns have given this event the swerve.

Well to be honest theres little to recommend maruyama,hes stats and form are rock bottom at the mo,saying that we have a wide open tourney,so if he can reproduce some old form he might sneak a place.

This is a very long course,so Beems ranking of 12th for eagles stands out.
Form wise only one top ten finish this year in the Buick,tied 58th in The Players last week.

Big 7 Vs The Field @11/5 seems like a fair price. The big 7 this week are Cink Johnson, Sabbatini, Howell III, Toms, Stenson and Di Marco. A case can be made for all 7 and in a pretty poorfield I'd be hopeful that one of them could manage it.

Daniel Chopra @66/1: Gonna persist with Chopra as I'm sure hes not too far away from finishing in the money. Hes only missed 4 cuts all year and he's generally there or thereabouts. Not too many Europeans thisweek so I'm gonna take him @6/1 to be top European as well.

Boo Weekly @50/1: Local boy who should go well in front of his home crowd. Has already won a tournament this year and has come 2nd as well. Has been a bit below par of late but hopefully the hometown factor can spur him on.

Both my picks ended up with -1. Boo Weekly was on -4 at the turn but had a stinking back 9 and ended up with a 71. Chopra disappointingly bogeyed the last for a 71 too and both he and Weekley are 6 of the leader Sutherland. Still though, both are in contention at this early stage and hopefully can put together decent rounds this afternoon.

Sutherland is 42nd on tour this year and his performances have been very medicore,and three missed cuts too.Unless hes a changed player from 2006 were he had no top 10's,its possible he can be reeled in so Chopra and Weekley have everychance,so Chief.

Nightmare 77 from my man Boo means he's outta there! Misses the cut quite comprehensively after a round littered with bogeys and double bogeys. Looks like Chopras gonna have to carry the hopes of the Chief this weekend. No pressure Danny!

Johnsons nailbiting playoff win means I end the weekend up a few quid due to him being one of the big 7. Disappointing weekends for both main picks though as neither made the cut. Stenson ended up as top European.
