what does muck losing hands mean? im in 7718 if any cheapo pokerers are about, need some players for the big cheapo game. win fcuk all but best of all lose fcuk all. Maybe that aint a good thing

Komp mate look on the tourney list and sort by order if buy in amount, the $5 + 1 you were talking about. At the top you should see a freeroll, usually there is one every half an hour but an hour at this time now.

There is one coming up in 45 minutes 20:15 in there time, you just go to open tournament lobby and register for no money. Doesnt cost a thing.

Your playing for play money, but you should just play in the freerolls as you'll learn the same if not more by playing in freerolls. As Alien says though Sit and go games where you use your own money are where you wanna be if your starting to play seriously. The Pros dont make all there money in Tourneys, they make it in cash games.

When someone bets......and you call them. You pay to see their cards...they show their cards. Now if your cards are better you show them and you win.
But if your cards are worse - you can muck them - ie throw them away without showing anyone.

Similarly when you bet and everyone folds, you win. You can show your cards if you want to, or choose not to. This is the hide winning hand option.

I have auto muck and auto hide winning hand on.
If I lose I dont want my opponent seeing what I was playing.
If I win I don't want my opponent know what I was betting with.

Always keep them guessing. Never give them any free information like showing your cards unless you have to. This can give them clues as to how you play. Many times people have bet.....people have folded and they have shown their hands...this helps me. I get an idea of how they play certain cards. Next time I see a similar betting pattern I have an idea of what they could have. This has helped me many times, but of course had they not shown I'd be none the wiser

I thought when they passed out the card for dealer it was you all getting a wee peek at the card of the other players.

Make sure you click on Multi section first too.

Muck means you dont show your hands to the oppenent if you lose on a check/call or if you win with everyone folding you just muck them (dont show) which is obviously advised.

Alien you were saying about freerolls being quite pointless, i can see what you mean but I dont want to put any money out of my account as im far better in the face-to-face games and i won £50 last week through it, bloody spent it in one night mind.

However in these freeroll tournaments when you do get far and win a prize after entering for nothing you have something to use to go into these cash games. Example, i won a Paddy Power freeroll and got a massive $8 for it. Now theres something for me to use instead of funding my account with my own money. Although relative your right you would prolly earn more flipping burgers per hour put it. Difference is i enjoy Poker and im a lazy sod.

From that $8 its gone up and down and im on $11 after a few days playing with it and im quite happy to use freerolls to fund my playing. I usually play them at Absolute Poker all day when im not out in order to get some funds into that account and start playing there, no such luck there though however after coming close many a time. Freerolls have a sort of lottery about them as you point out but once you get into the latter stages and the numpties are out its a better game.

At the moment im having fun just doing this with my $11 profit at the moment and my profit in non-online games of £50 which I intend to keep seperate as its earning me some valubale money, always play people of lower standard of course and cos there my mates there too comptetetive and will put it down to luck that i won that much money off them. When i have money to my name i will start playing serious but until i stop being a lazy bastard that wont happen yet.

It says its full (2000) people 20 mins before kick off. would that be correct?

Yeah it is Komp, goes like a steam train at this time the registering. Its better from about 12pm til 6pm, on every half hour and usually around 1000 in it, never gets full at that time.

Make sure your playing hold'em no limit as limit is gay and you have noticed the bar when you can raise up to any amount you like i hope, just move it along to raise what up until all-in. You asked something about it, im not trying to be a patronising bastard.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that christanu, each to their own and all that. You've got the secret to winning poker sussed anyway = Don't play with superior players. You don't actually have to be amazing at poker to win, just better than the people you are playing with

Yep ive read up a lot on the subject, a lot of poker sites, information can never be a bad thing.

I know you wernt saying it was bad and i agreed with almost everything you said, but i was just explaining why i do so many freerolls and same probably applies for Kiko.

come on Christain that was a cheap pop there. Alien aint no fool at anything he does.

The bar should be there, around your call, fold, bet or raise options, just above it. It will probably have numbers 1 2 4 8 along it and you have to move the bar accross as the amount goes up. You dont have to press anything for it to come up, it will be there.
