Re: If you're playing post in here

Great idea Gett1n.

Most nights you will see me playing 0.25c/0.50c cash games on BET365/Stanjames and small stakes tourneys.

Re: If you're playing post in here

I play 2 at once cos I feel that 3 deters from gaining any player info. You dont notice if a player is being reckless or loose and things like this. Get a better feel for both the games with 2. But then again if your a profitable player then you get half as much potential profit again by playing another table. Its all about decisions aint it

One things for sure though playing 1 cash game only bores the fcuk out of me and I never do it. If I play a tourny tho all my effort is concentrated on that and nothing else.

Theres some super crazy pro players that have 3 monitors with 4 tables going on each :loon duno how the hell they do it.

Re: If you're playing post in here

The cash tables I play on are always 6 seater ones as well, short handed games thats where the moneys at I tell ya.

Concentrate on a tourney :loon not enough patience for that, you can not play a hand for half an hour.

Even though I play 3 at once you can spot the nutters and every player I notice I keep notes on and so when he re-appears I already know about him. Played some nutter tonight who claims he plays for fun and with AJ AQ or AQ he's all in pre flop, true to his word, went all in with AQ and I had KK.

And thats the thing MrM its about being able to play more hands and so making more money.

I play on Stanjames and they offer 25% rakeback each month now Ive already played 5 000 raked hands, just raked ones and entered a few tourneys so thats another bonus

Re: If you're playing post in here

Thats interesting Chris cos I think full ring tables is where its at I actually have a slight dislike for 6 seater ones. Just a purely personal thing cos I like to play one way or another in general. What I mean is on a full ring table playing real tight is the way to go. On a 3 handed/heads up scenario you can play anything and be really loose. The 6 seater is somewhere inbetween and I dont find it a comfortable situation for me in general. Id rather play one or the other. I love a full table

Another thing is when does playing more tables become detrimental to your game. If you play 4 is your attention quite low and so you dont play as well? Get involved in 3 hands at once and you make the wrong decisions? Its all about whats right for you though and I agree 3 is ok.

Which rake scheme are you on? I use rake break theyre very good for the crypto network (Wilhill, Carribean, Interpoker etc) get 30%+ plus monthly bonuses from the sites. If you want more info just ask.

Re: If you're playing post in here

30% bonuses for what? I think im on the worst site for bonuses

6 seater games I love, im a relatively loose agressive player really and they suit my game perfectley. I hate/love to brag but im earning a small fortune these days and I know your a modest guy MrM so you wont let any info slip. People seem to think being loose is terrible but that aint true.

4 tables I cant hack as the screens at the bottom become into a section if u know what I mean and its difficult moving between games but i have played 3 cash tables and 2 tournies once and it was madness.

The worst thing is being about to hit call on one table, only for another to pop up and you call someones all in although that doesnt happen very often.

With a full ring table like you say you are tight and the amount of hands you play decreases and if your a profitable player averaging +0.04c per hand for example then the more hands you play the better etc..one way of looking at it. So many variables obviously.

Most of my money is made through small Pocket pairs and Alien used to go on about how you call a raise with a small pocket pair against the big hands and they wont lay em down. They cant. Its beautiful.

You ever play on the prima networks? Whats rake break?

Re: If you're playing post in here

I tried short handed for quite a while. You get through alot more hands etc which is a good thing(if you can win on them). But there are other things which counter balance this. When you make hands you are less likely to be paid off as less people are likely to be in the pot. People are more likely to notice how you play when only 6 are on. At a full ring game with people coming in and out you can be the tightest bastard around and then bet when you have a hand and people will still pay you off. At short handed games you have to play more hands and play your opponents more. You have to make plays and win pots when you don't have premium cards. This can of course be a bit precarious. Very lucrative if you are good at it but dangerous none the less.
At full ring you can sit tight and then bet aggressively when you get something and you've a good chance of being paid.
You can't hang around as much short handed cos the blinds come round so quickly and you have to be constantly making plays for them.
In a sense you can almost sorta switch off and play on auto pilot at full ring games. Yeah you should be paying attention to how people are playing etc etc, this will help but you can get away with not paying too much attention, You'll miss a couple of bluffs etc you might have caught otherwise but you can still make money as long as you are sensible. When playing alot of tables you will tend not to pay as much attention as perhaps you "should" anyway.

Re: If you're playing post in here

oh yeah mate the pocket pairs is what your looking for and no mistake, a ready made stack buster if ever I saw them. I pump a fist in the air when I hit a set of 9s in a raised pot

If you sign up to a site through rakebreak (rakebreak.com) then you get rake back. At the mo if you signed up to carribean sun youd get 30% rake back and Interpoker youd get 32% I believe. It all adds up and if you play a lot itll be a healthy enough sum youll get in rake back per month for sure. Those 2 sites are the best 2 sites imo. They share all the same player base.

Caribbean sun do a $40 bonus every month (usually takes 15ish hours for me to turn over the raked hands required then they just dump $40 in your account ). Interpoker do a $90 bonus every month, same principle but obviously itd take 30-35hrs for me roughly. I think itd take a bit less time for you playing the 6 seaters maybe. So thats $130 every month if you play 50 hours or so a month. As youre playing anyway its certainly a nice bonus.

Prima network is not very good imo and I dont really like it. Again its just personal preference but I really do think the crypto network (and the 2 sites I mentioned) is where its at. If you want further endorsement this is where Jezza plys the majority of his work as well.

Re: If you're playing post in here

I thought when you replied you would be all over my youthull enthusiasm Alien but its a beautiful thing really

Short handed is definitely the way for me as like I said it suits my style, I love to be involved all the time. Youd be suprised Alien at the amount of KK vs AA and the amount of big pots in short handed games. You'd get just as much action with AA on a 6 seater as oppose to a 10 seater, although I havent played a lot of the latter.

There is a theory that you get more nutters on the 6 seater tables too.

Re: If you're playing post in here

Ok mate lets see. Well for one even if you can youd have to set up a new account. Its based on you joining a site through rake break, then cos they got the site business and a new client you get the sweet rake money

Im pretty sure Bet365 and StanJames arent catered for on Rake Break. You should play on Crypto anyway mate its better I really do believe that and you get all those bonuses I mentioned above which adds up to a tidy enough sum especially at the lower limits percentage wise.

Re: If you're playing post in here

Id say in general youd rather not play against Scandies as they like pot betting theyre flush draws at you and are quite hard to read and get tricky. A generalisation of course but on Crypto you dont get many Scandies and thats the way I like it

I played on Paddypower poker for a while, dont know which one they use but I didnt like it, the standard of players was worse and it wasnt poker at all, it was unenjoyabke and suprisiginly less profitable.

Re: If you're playing post in here

No worries mate I dont mind what you do, just offering advice

Btw you do know you dont have to have allegiance to one site yeah? You could play a few, you dont have to desert you prima ones just cos you play somewhere else

Btw I cant see if the standard of players is worse youd earn less in the long run. I know what you mean by it being less like 'poker' but hmm. Btw the games im playing in on Crypto seem perfectly fine its not just silly stuff like on the play money games if thats what you were thinking or something.
