Some of the details of what happened
here.
....for the 'richest prize in European poker' it was a shoddy holding site. They didn't bother updating the website after each episode broadcast so you didn't know who went onto the semi-final if you missed a show (what further mystery were they keeping from not telling us, months after the heats had already happened?).
I said it elsewhere but I wasn't happy that the semi-finals were broadcast so close to the actual final meaning bookmakers generally didn't have enough time to be creative in their markets like in 2004 where they had a week to do so (second semi-final was shown on a Wednesday, live final on Friday meaning bookies had less than 48 hours. Most just offered 'outright betting' whilst some featured 'head-to-heads' and a few others).
