Ladbrokes Poker Cruise

I have just noticed that qualifiers for this have started up again.
The cruise is taking place in Jan 2004 sailing from New York. The first seat will be won in a freeroll which is for those who qualified last time so presumably Muse and Jezza will be in this.
After reading Jezzas reports on both cruises and Muses account of the last one I may give a few of these a go. Anyone else going to try and qualify.

Re: Ladbrokes Poker Cruise

Yes its in Jan 2008 so a long way to go for that!

At present theyve mentioned nothing of getting in for free via a weekly raked hands freeroll (perfect for cash games players) which is how I got in last time. Shame but they may yet do that but then again maybe not.

Yes I have been invited to this on Friday so obviously I will be giving it a shot. The winner gets the cruise so cant complain about that. 2nd thru 30th gets a free entry into a daily cruise final worth $60 so ill be happy with bagging one of those for a free shot.

I cant speak for Jezza though he really has gone totally awol, havent heard from him for best part of 2 months now I think. Im sure hes ok

Theres certainly enough time to qualify for it, its not for over a year! Time to work out a plan of action etc

Re: Ladbrokes Poker Cruise

Started with 2000 chips im on a mighty 2070 after the 1st hour and I already was all in a minute ago with 99 v AK and I held

The reason why I was so low was I lost 1/3 of my chips on a reraise bluff. I think it was a good play but it didnt work this time. I raised from the cut off with AQ for 165, SB called me. Flop KK6 with 2 diamonds. He checks, I check (dont want to bet and get checkraised hell never believe I have K). Turn 7 diamonds completes any flush. He bets half pot which was 190 into 380. I reraise to 690, I dont think he can compete without a King or the flush there and it looks like I have the King I think. But he reraised all in so musta had one or the other (or 66 or 77 I guess).

Re: Ladbrokes Poker Cruise

Urgh that went horribly Everytime I tried something I got reraised all in one of those games. It ended in a battle of the blinds between my mighty 95o and the guys AA, kinda summed it up

Jezza never entered btw

Re: Ladbrokes Poker Cruise

Sick just watching the final table of this cruise tourny. 2nd/3rd just get $60 satellite place. Down to 3 (winner gets cruise plus trimmings worth about 10K). One guy on 300k, the other 2 on 150k each, blinds 4/8k. One of them disconnects! :

The others then steal blinds etc and hes out about 5 minutes later. Gets back just after and says he DCd when holding KK :
