Full Tilt Online Poker Series VIII

This gets underway on Wednesday, going all the way through to May 18th, with a total 24 events. Buy in range from $100 rebuys to $2500, with endless variants of poker catered for.

Now, obviously I'm not going to be buying in directly to any of these, but thought it might be worth the odd shot at some super satellites. I will not be trying to qualify for every event as I am unable to play in a lot of them anyway, but I will only take a maximum of 1 shot at each event.

First attempt will be at Event 3, currently a mystery event hosted by (whatever that means) David Pham. I imagine that it will therefore be a NLHE Shootout event, as Pham has a bracelet in that, and that is structure of the satellite I'm about to play. The GTD prize pool is $300k.

Anyway, onto the super satellite (that means this is a satellite to a satellite by the way ), it's a $4.40 NLHE Shootout with 1 seat guaranteed to the satellite.

Re: Full Tilt Online Poker Series VIII

Failed to qualify for events 1 and 3.

Event 1 gets underway tonight, with no less than 30 full tilt pros (including Mike Matusow, David Benyamine and David Chiu) amongst the field of 4158. $200+$16 entry Shorthanded NLHE, 1st prize of $158,852.23

Berry Johnston and David Chiu are both on the same first table, so I'll be keeping an eye on that one for now.

Scott Fischman and Huck Seed are amongst the early chipleaders, with Stuart Paterson the first FTPro to be eliminated.

WPT winner David Chiu has just doubled through after taking and early hit with his QQ holding up against JJ.

Edit : Mike Matusow approaching early elimination.

And Matusow is gone.

Raises all in for his last 225 chips with A9o from the cutoff, button miniraises, everyone else folds.

A9 v 78

Flop 955

The whole thing lasted 9h 17m, the best placed Full Tilt Pro being Scott Fishcman in 18th.

Event 2 is well under way, $214k prize pool, PLOmaha and Scott Fischman well placed again, in 44th. Plenty of big names gone already, including Chiu, Pescatori, Jett and Watkinson

This looks like one of Komp's talking to himself threads Dave, we are all interested though.

As long as you're enjoying yourself that's the main thing.

"Mystery" Event 3 (as predicted a $500 NLHE Shootout) passes, and again no FTPro wins, Erick Lindgren and Mike Matusow with minor cashes.

Event 4 (PL Hold'em) Scott Fischman 45th, Eddy Scharf 80th.

Event 5 (Limit Stud H/L), Berry Johnston finished 4th.

Event 7 is a $100 NLHE, $102k 1st prize, 1811 entrants, 261 paid.

Currently 411 left, notable pros out are Watkinson, Pham, Seed and Fischman.

Stuart Paterson is in 8th, Matusow 158th, a few others hanging on. Will we see our first FTPro victory?

Nearly 7 hours in now (it was a rebuy btw), and Lindgren still there in 5th, 20 remaining.
