Pre-Flop Odds on suited connecters and small pocket pairs

This is something i haven been able to pick up yet for all my poker tutorials. I know that every game is diff etc but talking a standard game positionwise what sort of odds or maybe potential odds odds would you recommend calling with these hands.. Obviously as a tournie and the blinds go on it makes it less viable but just standard poker etc. I think i mean when someone possibly reraises after your call. Maybe i dont know but i would be interetsed in anythiong any one can share with me about them. Im talkig stardard tournie play too. I dont consider any suited connector below a 54 suited and in early position i would throw away 2-5. am i being too tight? thanks

actually it make it less viable to play suited connectors but pocket pairs go up in value as the blinds increase. Fcuk knows what antes are as i never meet them
