Glasgow (Riverboat) - Gala Casinos

Must remember my bank card. I hope a Maestro card is ok Be great when i move to glasgow and then i can go along for the Quiz nights on a tuesday. I like quiz nights. My train will be the 21:50 one. I cant sit here and not have a joint. Maybe i should go out first. Just a shame im barred from every pub within walking distance of the train station My bones ache. My head aches. I feel tired. I want a joint. sod it ill go 'do my hair' and take it from there.

what sort of thing will i be walking in on here? Cash games beyond my budget? stt's? mtt's anyone?

Re: Glasgow Casinos

Won fcuk all Saint. what a pissy thing a casino is in the UK from this first experience. I got regged ok not a problem and i got my free £10 for the roullette. when i went in it was like my local fruit machine arcade, pissy looking bar and loads of roullette. I joked to myself before i would sit online on their computers playing on bet365 or posting and after 5 minutes of being there i wanted to be do either or. 1 daft tournement a day mon-fri and 2 on a sat and sun. No sit down tables. Just a big shitty horrible hole. fcuking some daft arcade poker with a dealer and stupid rules. The casino really plays it to sui them and fcuk to say i was dissapointed is an understatement. There was just fools and funfair style games. Fcuk i bet you i would have won a gonk if i got in the poker (reg 9pm-10pm a weekday - riverboat glasgow) the clientel were sadder than i imagined and i was in and out in 10 minutes. I didnt want to hear the price of their luke warm no strength beer. I watched fuds giving these people their money. It was not what i expected at all. Nothing gritty, nothing of substance. It was like Butlins. aye it ruined a lot of dreams but the reality of it all does for me. I was shite on my night out and what i was out doing was shit. Bunked the train on the way up just to get me 'in the mood'. It was great. It was like me being reborn. Travelled all over Britain for nothing in my time. Went to the 'goth places' and what a bunch of emo tossbags they really are. When we were goths we werent wet. Had a great night on the quiz machines and had a rare experience of being 50/50 on Deal or No Deal for £10 or £20. Obviously i got the ten a thats as crooked and as shite as everything else the world has to offer. Was about £50 up on the whole night (drinks food fags and transport) till i deided to play some 50p a shot (was 30p lst time i was out) fruitie in the saddest pub in Glasgow. iwent all that way to sit and play a fruit machine in a pub worse than any of my local pubs. I was disgusted with myself. Anyhow for future referance weekends 2pm and 9pm to sign in for tournies and im gona take some in. Well what else would i rather be doing? stupid £5 rebuys etc though. Fcuk does poker not really happen bar online? poker cafes is what we want. I did like that they do coffee in the casino though. sed to get it made for me in my local bookies. From a mug. Not a paid one. This was before that. aye life really does go on and the world keeps offering up shit.

Fecking brilliant. Only casiona i was at was the maybury to watch dan dan play in the poker and it was pretty much the same although i believe they do more poker tourneys/tables but we never got involved cause everybody was there to watch the big tourney.

Me, Sid and Old Saint did manage to lose a tenner each into the fruit machines and it would have swallowed a lot more but cause there was no skill - no nudges or anything like that - and nobody really knew what to do we just let it get on with itself and that was that.

Re: Glasgow Casinos

Komp if you wanted to play poker in Glasgow you would have been better going to The Cincinnati Club where it is nothing but poker.

Here is their bebo page, it has up to date times of tourneys.

Also there is The Wabash, but I haven't been there.

Re: Glasgow Casinos

It was great in the respect Alex. I think if you go somewhere and you and the boucers have got a bit of history then your always gonna get the short straw on a night out. When i was allowed to just be another face in the crowd i act differantly and truth be told you can take me anywhere. I stood and chatted with the glasgow bouncers whilst smoking and was very agreeable. My problems arises from an incident in 1996 when i decided to blow dry my hair in a local dico. I wont go into detail but some 'head bouncer' got his nose broken after him and his pal laid in to me for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Since then most doors have been well warned by this fella and since then i have also been a drunken bum. suffice to say i aint welcome in many places and i suppose that gets me down a bit. Im 'subhuman' as ever.

anyhow i need to sort my subhumaness out and try get myslf back on an even keel. Im thinking of so many ways. even thinking of myself as a website and 'what would i do with you seing as its so bloody wrong?' Im gonna come to an answe soon Alex i think. Its nothing deadly. probably just chronic
