Re: Glasgow Casinos

theres a great casino in edinburgh for poker komp, cant remember the name of it but its beside the stanley berkley casino, i know a few lads from glasgow and the west that make weekends of it for a game there. always decent tournaments and its a pretty tidy setup inside.

ill have a look online for it

Re: Glasgow Casinos

Honest spacecat it would seem to me that the british poke rrooms dont really want to accomodate poker. sorry i mean casinos dont. Is the rake enough? How can it be when they have women hanging off mens arm placing a days wages on 4 differant numbers at the roullette. I really dont know the set up but i couldnt have felt any further removed from what i thought i was doing in playing poker by visiting the showboat in Glasgow spacecat. It was humdrum. thats what got me down. it was full of shite sparkle and sausage rolls.

Re: Glasgow Casinos

im just sitting here having radical poker thoughts. How much of a game of chance is Poker? sometimes before i see my cards i decide 'im playing these two ards no matter' I just 'know' that they are gonna serve me well. Like Maths exams as a kid. The would ask me 'why do you get all the questions right on multiple chopice?'. and as you all know its because im a good guesser. thats all. I'll guess right answers with an uncanny amount off accuarcy and now all i need to do is learn how to play poker. Man we're gonna have some laughs on the way but i dont have much else to live for. I dont mind being a plastic poker poker player that you all just laugh at. Im gonn ahave to do something soon cos if i dont im gonna go under with feelings of terrible mediocraty. good luck folks. unless your playig me.

Re: Glasgow Casinos

that guy in the picture there is a mentalist, I was in one night and he was kicking off upstairs. Cincins is really great or at least the few times I have been was excellent. Was a year or so ago though, I know they had some issues a while back. I was there when Dave Colclough was around.

Re: Glasgow Casinos

I was looking into a live game in glasgow & got email back from the Stanley in Sauchiehall street

It is easy to become a member on the night, all you need is sufficient I.D. such as a Passport, Driving Licence or Credit/Debit Card.

Registration for the Friday tournament starts from 8:15pm, it would be a good idea to show up early in order for your membership to get processed in plenty of time and for you to get registered in the card room and familiarise yourself with the surroundings & any rules etc that you may be unsure of in the card room.(the card room supervisor will be able to answer any queries that you may have).

I have attached the weekly poker schedule and believe there is a style of game to suite everyone.

We look forward to having you play here with us and wish you luck.

Regards

Re: Glasgow Casinos

Had my first ever live game 18 months ago in that casino betfly. I got absolutely bladdered, spilled my beer on the table, knocked over a wee side table full of drinks, when I dealt there were cards all over the floor and every 3rd card I dealt flipped over, yes, was indeed a great night so I'm well up for going back. Komp would like it in there too. Was my first time, I'm putting my general behaviour purely down to beginners nerves

Re: Glasgow Casinos

Sid was saying it was depending on Rangers progress in the league and if the Aberdeen game will be important for them. If not i'm all for the 23rd Betfly.
