General Information

Generally, all modern mobile phones are set up to allow you access to the Internet, but you may still need some help. This section serves as a manual and troubleshooting guide regarding mobile Internet connectivity issues for some network operators and known issues with certain mobile phones. It covers general mobile connectivity requirements, how to obtain Internet settings either through a configurator or manually by entering each setting in the phone. There are also links to various information sources.

Network Requirements

Many network operators have pre-installed Internet settings in the majority of their phones but if the correct settings are missing they can be downloaded via SMS and installed on the handset before the game is installed. Restart the phone after the settings are installed.

Network operators have different policies for Internet access. Some operators may block connections to certain sites in some or all their handsets, other operators may require you to set up specific data plans (e.g. a monthly fee if you visit internet sites often or a plan where you pay for the amount of data you use) to access the Internet. Some also require users to unlock their content control block.

Some network operators have different settings for WAP browsing and full Internet access, such as Vodafone. There are three main categories of Internet settings:

1. Mobile browsing (WAP/GPRS settings)
2. Multimedia messaging (MMS settings)
3. Internet access point (Internet settings)

The games require the third category of settings to be installed in the handset. For some network operators the first and third categories are combined into one.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide information on every phone operator in every country so we have also provided help for some of the main phone manufacturers.

on al the networks in the UK too bar 3 i believe
