The legacy of Michael Jackson

I was speculating as to the legacy of Michael Jackson,not his estate or appurtenances in monetary terms,but whether he bestowed anything on the world in general as regards his musical or humanitarian talents.As my mind grappled with a litany of unconfirmed allegations it was the stark supine picture of a human being, metamorphosed from a state of moribund necrosis to the ghostly pallor of death,appearing transparently on the news at a time when small children could well have been watching. A plethora of questions remain unanswered. Was this man a music genius,a clandestine paedophile,a male Diana.. Does one's charitable work exculpate in some part one's mortal sins? What are we to make of a man whose lyrics incude "don't matter if you're black or white" then strives to alter his innate skin colour? Is this just another example of his exploitation by commercial forces outside his control,as for example the $5m demanded by Doctor Conrad Murray to be his personal physician? Can millions of fans be wrong,or are we so indoctrinated with X-Factor culture we make but a superficial assessment of an individual's personality..
