Neo-Nazi nut job apparently. Weirdly, I touched upon the unrest in Norway in the Eurovision thread after hearing a lot from a Norwegian friend. She'd been telling me that a lot of tension was developing regarding immigrants in particular.

And people say our justice system is lax, this guy has a maxiumum sentence of 21 years or 2 and a half months for every person killed, apparently he could be free in as little as 14...

I was just reading that, Pete and was gobsmacked although it does say they can hold him longer if they consider him a threat to the public. I'd say he's proved to be something of a threat.

He's got it into his head that he is a messiah who will cleanse Europe of Muslims..hence his references to the Knights Templar..Richard the Lionheart went on crusades to Muslim lands and did a similar thing.. his planning took 9 years..to detonate a bomb in sleepy Norway's capital to draw the Police in..whilst they were distracted to don a Police uniform and sail to Utøya,ostensibly to protect the kids at a Labour conference,but in truth to kill as many as he could he considered responsible for Norway's immigration policies.Who knows the true motive..triggered by a girlfriend jilting him for a Pakistani guy,..rejected by his dad when he wanted a reconciliation..forced to practise knitting in Primary School which de-masculinized him..we can only guess what went on inside his head.
