Betfair Tipping

Wasnt sure whether to post this or not but oh well im going to, Right some off you may or may not know Betfair were looking for two new tipsters and on the day of the Champions League Final you had to write a preview up for 3 different bets either on the Final or the Horse's that day giving reasoning behind your bets.

I got two out of three of my tips correct and forgot all about it until a few weeks ago i recieved a e-mail from a editor at Betfair who i will not name informing me he was impressed with the standard of my previews and wanted me to write 2 more tips up for the weekend.

So i wrote the two tips up and both lost, This was last weekend 2nd July. Recieved another email last week saying it didnt matter about the tips winning or losing it was the write ups that counted and i would hear back on Friday from him. Nothing came Friday or Saturday so once again i thought that was it but no there was more! Yesterday i recieved a E-Mail asking if i would like to join and be a tipster for them.

Had to write up a profile,send a picture and complete a employee form, So here we go your new Betfair Tipster

Right down the bottom, Now basically this thread was for two reasons

1. To see if anyone else on here entered and how far they got and
2. To thank TDP if it wasnt for this site and seeing other people write up previews i would of never got involved as much in betting and deffo wouldnt of wrote up previews

Dont flame me here i was going to keep it quiet but i guessed someone would end up seeing it who uses Betfair so better coming from the Horse's mouth so to speak.

I would also like to add to the above post, I know i have been a huge prat on here at times i know it you know it, we all know it together. But in a way its down to you guys trying to teach me alot of things which has also helped me mature as a person so thank you. I will have to speak to Betfair as im not sure if i can or not but i would like to do a weekly non league thread on here like the season before last

It doesn't seem to be a secret service cream of the crop crack betting squad judging by the numbers on that authors list, but all the same seriously good for you. Let us know how it goes and give us links to your previews or give this fred a bump every now and again otherwise I'll just forget out of idiocy.

I've never found the folk on the betfair forums to be particularly bright to be honest - most of them couldn't tip shit out of a barrow - so they probably deserve everything they get if they follow your tips.

Can't fault the write ups though and if, as you say, that's the important bit (which I suppose it must be given that three of your five tips lost) then you should be OK.

Are you up against all those other punters in a competition or is it just for anyone to view?

I've all but given up the horses now, backing anyway. It's all about football bets for me from now on, i'm going to record my season on here this year. Can't wait for it to start now.

@ODM your right about some of the people on the forums there Especially the football forum at least 20 threads a day of nailed on 100% bets that lose

@Punter those other people are racing, football, rugby, tennis etc tipsters most of them on there the ones with pictures taken away and some more dont write for Betfair anymore (Im suprised they still have the profiles). As far as im aware and been informed the column is mine and will be the only one doing over/unders obviously if i have 10% strike rate i wont be lasting long on there

Your right Yorkie, especialy as the guy I beat is right above you in the author list! I didn't actually know about it to be honest, I do shite writeups for football, if It was snooker I'd have had a chance.

R.O.I = Return on Investment. It's your profit divided by the total amount you risked expressed as a percentage.

example - if you made 10 bets of £10 that means you invested £100. If after that you had made £50 profit then ROI = 50/100 x 100 = 50%

Well goals isnt my best bet so i would avoid

Ah yeah thanks for that Rob well seems as im going for overs and above my aim will be for around 70% i dont want to go lower than that.
