Re: Earth tremor...
We've had two in the past 6 yrs, only lasting 5 or 6 seconds on each occasion, pretty cool experiences i thought, (but only cause they were minor).
The earths natural cycle (i'm not really convinced by global warming being our fault) seems to be picking up speed since the Millenium, and it seems to me that Britain is being affected has hard as any, flooding is getting worse and has become a yearly event in several parts of the country, we seem to be getting snow for longer periods and records are being broken for the lowest temperatures. I think minor tremors will become more regular too. It's only a matter of time before Iceland errupts again and affects us far more than what it did last time. Full of optimism me, eh. |

Re: Earth tremor...
No I didn't feel last nights but we had a spate of them in Manchester a few yrs back and its not a nice feeling, it was a over a 2 month period and they used to happen sometimes within minutes of each other, its hard to explain the feeling, imagine yourself living in a cardboard house and somebody on the outside gave the house a good shove, thats what it feels like.
At other times it felt like the house was floating on water, rocking very slowly, it was quite nauseating. The Midlands also had one a few yrs back and that was strange too, I had just gone to bed and by head started to shake on the pillow, I thought i was having some sort of wobbler and said to the wife when it was over "did you feel that" she said "yes" and i thought thank fcuk for that. |

The big ones are in Italy-Greece-Turkey.
You can't possibly talk about earthquakes in England ! Funny thing is everyboody is scared after an earthquake, when it's peace and quite (Enceladus exhausted his venom). But for 6,000 years before the quake everybody is happy-go-lucky ! |

Re: Earth tremor...
Hi and welcome to TDP Dimitrios, I hope your not just posting to get enough posts in to spam the place as we don't get many foreign visitors, well we do but they're normally perverts from Eastern Europe who fit in quite well tell the truth
![]() Thats presuming you are foreign looking at the name and Greek flag You are right though, we shouldn't moan about a wee earthquake that is no more shakey than a passing bus, I think the problem is that us Brits like a good moan so any excuse will do, you can only moan about it pissing time for so long b4 it gets boring so the wee rumble was like a gift from the Gods for Winrew as he's like a bleeding old woman. |
