Re: Ouch!
a very mature attitude seen and I applaud you for it. at the end of the season, win or lose , you can look back at points llke this note what impact they've had on ur profit and loss. i was a three figure sum down by half past 2 last Saturday. a mate saw me on my mobile and said ' I hope ur not chasing' - he knew I was down as not one of those punters who only sings when I'm winning - I assured him that I wasn't as I'd resigned myself to a losing day and would start afresh the next day. this is the biggest lesson a punter can learn in my view. if ur lucky u and u listen to experienced gamblers then it's a lesson that won't cost u dearly to learn. of you don't listen, be prepared for the pain

Re: Ouch!
Well said OD mate.
i think thats the hardest part (not for me) that most punters can learn.Never chase losses. Count it as a losing day and move on afresh the next day. You CANNOT win everyday.. Over the last year or so i have mucked about with tiny stakes.. But i am also conditioning myself at the same time to get in the mindset for a loss.. I know i can win everyday, so it dont bother me if i make a loss..Even though i am only betting small stakes.. it has helped me alot. I would never chase losses or use any recovery plan for real.. Just crazy.. and long term you will lose. i think what sean done was just a mistake, plain and simple. it happens. (i have done it on greyhounds, and it cost me £80+) i always make sure its right before i press submit now. lol |
