Social Issues Question

I was thinking it would be fun/interesting to ask all the usual social issue questions no matter how old the are today and we can see if we are any further at sorting them out. the hard bit is finding all these social issue questions. Maybe we can see what we can find and take it from there.

Should abortion be legal? dont answer here that was just me adding to the social Issue list of threads im gonna go post. Why have nothing to talk about when you can talk about it all? I am doing it all with tongue in cheek so dont come on here wasting my time with your 'been there done it your so predictable komp' talk. If we was to take it seriously then we could never get away with it. thats not to say i am discouraging any serious talk on these threads. right what we got?

nah this aint gonna work. we'll just look like wankers. I got the idea when i saw a 'Should abortion be legal' question somewhere. I forgot that people liked to talk about these things. well maybe once or twice in their lives. I need 3 or 4 threads before i post them all. we'll look like a right social discussion group 'mmm yes i agree Gett1nlots but don't you think the moral stance onm ....etc etc' I'll be sitting here holding my chin and nodding at ever post. right i'll go find some more possible questions but if you have any, the more obvious the better, then let me know and we'll see how this goes. you all should really be off doing 5000 word posts on each team's merits for the new season etc you know

Whats all this about Embryonic stem cell research? That would be a good one. Maybe get one or two lurking doctors or activists replying.

whats the social issue questions about AIDS? 'why was it over-hyped by the press in the early 80's. to sell papers? or 'will AIDS ever become trendy again?'

Genetic engineering - Shall we make loads of food?

Gay rights - Will gays ever stop talking about sex?

Crime - Does Crime Pay? i suppose it's like gambling really and it depends if your good at it. I dont commit crime. Never have really. I was always more into scams and counterfeiting. I never directly ripped anyone off. One or two things that maybe i could feel a bit guilty about but the people deserved to lose what they did. Thats what happens when you try to make a quick buck. Anyhow like drugs i dont do them anymore.

Should drugs be legal?

I was reading an interesting article on the Heroin Wars in the early 18th centuary. Britain through its raj in India i think took over the worlds opium production and the chinese loved it. Something like 50% of rural chinese where opium addicts and it was all from us fuling it. they were daft for the stuff. Actually i better go read up on it as i dont remember all the facts of it but it was prety interesting.

this is terrible really. All we were to the Chinese were a nation that sent loads of drug smugglers to their country. we are no better than columbia. Imagine Columbia started turning up with it's warships round britain as we wouldnt take their drugs? fcuk this is getting better. 10,000 of the Chinese troops 'were completely annihilated' and us and the french ran into beijing and looted al the royal palaces. to top it all off Lord Elgin destrotyed all the palaces to cover up all the looting. Lord elgin's dad was a looter too and he was the one that stole the elgin marbles from some place in greece. Im embarrassed by our nation. still we've won a few wars. Not bad for a wee man.

nah if we all thought the same about things axeman then there would be no room for a man to make up his own mind and have his own thoughts. Who is right? who is wrong? can we come to a conclusion? No we can only try and see things from another viewpoint and that can only help us all come in or go out.
