Re: The End is Nigh...
Winrew,
If we want real politics to return to this Country then everyone should hope for a Labour victory in the next General Election. Only then will we see the back of the ridiculous Cameron with his wanky wind turbine shoved up his mincey arse on the way out. To vote that idiot in would be to validate the liberal, mishy, mushy, say nothing, mean nothing, believe nothing, politics for another decade. Love them or loathe them Thatcher, Heseltine, Kinnock, Benn, Foot et al represented an age where there were some clear divides between the parties. You had a real choice and people put their head above the parapet and argued for what they believed in - Poll Tax, Unilateral Disarmament, The Falklands, The Miners Strike, Breaking the Unions power etc etc. Halcyon Days. |

What I'm saying is that with a Cameron loss their would be a revolution inside the Conservative Party and they would return to there right wing politics which this Country desperately needs.

Re: The End is Nigh...
A poll of my workmates, revealed not a single person intending to vote labour or tory.
I'll never vote tory, I've been a lifelong labour voter, but after Bliar, I'll never vote labour again. S.N.P. or Lib dems for me, and likely to be S.N.P. |

Re: The End is Nigh...
Aye Cameron is a bit too Blairy , although I love TB he was a lucky PM . I am still glad we went into Iraq .
Tony does make a good point , I think after the touchy feely spinny style of New Labour we could be in the mood for some real politics again. I think anyone who reall comits to solving our chavvy youth and knife culture and actually turns out penal system into a place you dont actually want to go to would be on the right track. I'd make every council in the country do a strict audit and concentrate on doing what councils should be doing, improving roads , clearing up the shit and providing affordable housing for young families in well lit communities with facilities and good shops near. A return to the High Street culture if you like. Scrap the cirriculum and make every child read books every day they at school using the latest technology in every class. I dont care about fuel charges even though I have to travel 100 miles a day to work, the fukin planet is running out so its demand we should curb. I could go on but I'm off out |

Re: The End is Nigh...
The Labour party and Gordon Brown are coming in for so much flack that its looking pretty unlikely theyll win the next election. So by default that means the conservatives will win doesnt it which is a pity cos Camerons a prize twat.

Re: The End is Nigh...
this happens every ten years or so, everyone gets bored with the long term gov and every thinks the country is shite. the tories could put up komp as leader at the mo and he would get elected pm, the Labour gov have run out of steam, Dont like macaroon one bit but a change is needed.
gett1 is right a healthy democracy and debate on policy only ever happens when there is a clear divide between the two main parties, I cant see it happening for a long time though. |
