Well , its the race trip from the club this saturday , Ladies Day @ Newcastle.
Going to miss it

Loads of drunken geordie ladies with very little clothing on , always a great day.

Its also the " Maryport Blues Festival " friday through till sunday , gonna miss that as well , although i might get through for the sunday afternoon..

The BIG event for me this weekend is the sons wedding ..

Fancy hotel in the Lakes , stopping over tonight and saturday night , 3.50 a pint !!!!

Bought a suit ( my first ) along with a pink shirt and tie combo

Off down to Morrisons for a few boxes of wine , f**k them prices..

Basically , he couldnt have picked a worse weekend for me ..

sounds good weekend winrew. I dont have weekends anymore. Im trying to work out what to do with my last 20 quid. should i play poker with it, smoke it or put it on the football. Prob is i dont have a bookies near me and i aint walking into town in the mornng as i wont have much of that 20 pound left to spend. working tomorrow night at 6 until sunday morning then sleeeping and then thats my weeend done. i a way im quite glad that i dont have weekends no more. i think i will just sit and watch pokertube with my ukuelele, havea wee snooze, fart about, have another wee snooze, read my book on the history of crime, watch a couple of movies andtry to get the frotpage more in order. fcuk its hot today. first time its really kicked in. i better go open some windows. what a life i lead.

i cant go near the aussie football thread. i havent even updated aussie soccer stats this week. i bet theyre all talkign about me. aussie football is shit. theres no info to be had anymore and you cant get an edge. ive gave up for this seaso as i was sick of losing. the aussie thread ans heavy in the air though. sod it i will jusy ignore it.

Just in from work after another typically difficult week.

Let's see....

Tonight will involve 3 bottles of wine (not all to myself I hasten to add as the wife will dig in no doubt).

Tomorrow will involve a horrible hangover and a visit to the gym with a promise of 'never again' ringing in my ears.

Sunday will be a 0900 tee off for a game of golf, followed by Sunday Lunch and a read of the papers.

I might even shag the wife in between that lot if she's lucky.

A joke for the weekend:

Pat and Mick are out in the woods hunting when suddenly, Mick grabs his chest and falls to the ground. He doesn't seem to be breathing; his eyes are rolled back in his head.

Pat whips out his mobile and calls 999. He gasps to the operator, 'I think Mick is dead! What should I do?'

The operator, in a calm soothing voice says, 'Just take it easy and follow my instructions. First, let's make sure he's dead.'

There is a silence .. and then a shot is heard.

Pat's voice comes back on the line, 'Okay... now what?'

Fcuk all doing for me I'm afraid, just gonna get pissed tonight , might even treat myself to a game of hearts later on like i did last week but this time knowing the rules, kept getting booted last week as I had forgotten the strategy of it and kept winning hands thinking i was doing well.

Curry takeaway night tomorrow which i'll wash down with a few Stella's not the same as wine but it does a job, will also watch the City match if its on as I've been told its on channel 5 which will be sweet if so.

Also got a surprise up my sleeve for the wife, she's been rubbing it in all week how she can lie in bed for as long as she wants now the kids are off school, even more so as we must have a wasps nest in the loft somewhere as they keep appearing around the house even when the doors are shut, mainly in the kitchen.
She's shit scarred of them so i've downloaded a lovely buzzing waspey ringtone onto my phone which i will slip under the mattress tonight, then when she's slumbering tomorrow morning I'll give it a ring and see what happens, I was gonna do it in the week but i want to be here to see the reaction as she's one of those that will say 'i knew what it was', we'll see if thats the case when she's scraming and shouting clambering out of bed

just a pity i can't tape it.

Nowt planned for Sunday yet allthough the gardens could do with a once over, might have a go at that if the weathers ok, even growing Tommies this yr for the first time ever, just chucked a load of seeds into a tub then seperated the fcukers when they grew a bit, now i've got about 100 of the buggers about 2-3 feet tall all over the place, I'm sure the neighbours think I'm growing cannabis and I've been expecting a knock for the last few weeks now.

I'm off to a family bbq/party tommoz, two in the same friggin day. Me nans 87th in the afternoon and a mates missus 40th in the evening, should be a good day if the weather holds out.
