Man goes mad and lobs his hand off
Brilliant!
Quote:
HAYDEN, Idaho — A man who believed he bore the "mark of the beast" used a circular saw to cut off one hand, then he cooked it in the microwave and called 911, authorities said.
The man, in his mid-20s, was calm when Kootenai County sheriff's deputies arrived Saturday in this northern Idaho town. He was in protective custody in the mental health unit of Kootenai Medical Center.
"It had been somewhat cooked by the time the deputy arrived," sheriff's Capt. Ben Wolfinger said. "He put a tourniquet on his arm before, so he didn't bleed to death. That kind of mental illness is just sad."
It was not immediately clear whether the man has a history of mental illness. Hospital spokeswoman Lisa Johnson would not say whether an attempt was made to reattach the hand, citing patient confidentiality.
The Book of Revelation in the New Testament contains a passage in which an angel is quoted as saying: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink the wine of God's fury."
The book of Matthew also contains the passage: "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for you whole body to do into hell."
Wolfinger said he didn't know which hand was amputated

Sad indeed. It makes you wonder just how mentally deficient you have to be to actually believe in the bible.
Daft cunt.

Re: Man goes mad and lobs his hand off
nah you have to respect people who have some kind of believe in these things, shows character and strength of conviction most us lack, nothing like the cowardly suicide bombers. the majority of the religious cunts that knock about this country are happy enough to see the rest of us rot in hell as long as they quietly go on about making their way to 300 virgins or whatever it is theyre angling for.
i want these people to convert me and value my soul as being worth saving, though i doubt they could as im a stubborn and argumentative prick

Re: Man goes mad and lobs his hand off
You can't admire anyones convictions just because they chop their hand off any more than you can admire someone's conviction who backs Newcastle to win the Premiership every year.
They are both equally deluded.
Granted, there is more chance of some invisible bloke meeting you in the afterlife and sending you back to earth as a frog than there is of that shower of shite ever winning the Premiership but I'd say both stances are stupid, rather than admirable.

Re: Man goes mad and lobs his hand off
but imagine how the lad who put his hand in the microwave feels? he believes hes saved himself from an eternity of hell, you saved yourself from eternal darkness today onedunme? if you believe in something so strongly, with his strength of conviction, no matter if its true or not, youll still be triggering a response from the brain is if you had literally done in
youre average geordie who puts their holiday giro on the toon to win the league doesnt feel as if his soul has been saved when they pick up their losing slip, maybe a bit of camaraderie with the millionaires representing them on the park for about a minute but i cant see how the analogy has any relation to mr choppy fingers antics.

It has a relation because they're both cunts.

Nope. Neither have I saved myself from giant man eating Leprechauns or tidal waves of tomato soup
I'm not gullible enough to believe that they exist.

Country goes mad !!!
Quote:
An Indonesian housemaid has been executed in Saudi Arabia after being convicted of killing her employer, the Saudi interior ministry has said.
The woman was beheaded in the southern Asir province, in what was the second execution in the country in 2008. The maid was earlier found guilty of suffocating her female boss and stealing her jewellery

What's their rate of people convicted by mistake? Or by police perjury?
