A Merry Kompy Christmas!

I just took a walk round to Spar there. Im due to receive a loan today so i was getting a few beers in to get me in the mood to go and get it. As i walked round all the frost was twinkling like little stars on the pavement and it was pretty Christmasy. It looked nice and cheered me up. Only when i got to spar did i remember that they don't sell drink till 8am but i wasn't bothered and walked on stars all the way home. It made me realise what Christmas is all about. It's all about giving. Instead of keepingmyself to myself this xmas im gonna go beyond myself. I forget that people have their own wee lives and if anyone can do anything to help them then thats good. christmas morning im gonna go to my sisters and take them all some gifts to improve their lives. Im gonna play games with my nephew and have a laugh with my sister and her fiance and im not going to mention the internet..

anyhow i suppose there will be a glut of these threads no doubt so here's mine. Been a hard year for us all on tDP probably the hardest yet. Here's hoping for a more calming one next year. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone.

funny enough Betfly i did actually think of being like Scrooge as i walked into my path on the way back. I saw that Christmas was a time for all men , no matter how developed in their ways, to get outside themselves at this time of year. I think Christmas has been systematically placed to make people readdress themeselves and thus ensure public order. I see now being a giver and not taker is the way to be.

I sort of cancelled Xmas by voluntering to got to work right through , Xmas starts on the 8th of Jan for me
I was depressed when i said yes to it , now , well , ive still got it to do but i wished i had kept my mouth shut , moneys good mind , but there is more to life than cash..

Some good news arrived this morning , a mate phoned me and said our old boss is in hospital over Xmas with a smashed hip and collar bone , he fell off his roof while sticking decorations up ...... , You lot didnt know him so you might think i am heartless , but im not..
Right , im off out to buy a bloody washing machine , the old ones finally given up......

nice one komp enjoy your loan and your spar cider. winrew pal thats a bit of a pisser, im working on hogmanay so i kind of know how you feel but ive done well to work my way around having to do anything from now till the 18th of january (besides the 31st), bit of winter down time im looking forward too after new year. im not sure what to say, edit: we can have a bit of post new year poker party online if you want. we'll have it at midnigbht on the 8th of january, all invited

over christmas ive got a chock-a-block social calender, this friday im having dinner with my flatmates back in eidnburgh which always ends in carnage. saturday with the football crowd for the hearts game all night, desperate day off sunday, upto aberdeen for a works doo christmas eve, home to inverness christmas morning and visitng grandparents in the wilderness (its actually beautiful this time of year) then back into toon for a few days visiting old haunts and seeing old friends and family for a few days... hate to say this but the trip north could be pretty emotional for me as for the first time ever im feeling homesick.

hope everybody has a good time no matter what youre upto and i hope you all spend time with the right people. without wanting to sound too ott id also like to say hello to anybody out there on their own or not doing anything this year, it can be the loneliest and depressing time of year for some of the people reading this and i really feel for them, it could more than happen to me anytime

I should be able to get pm's Ed and havent checked Mike TV. pm me. Actually tomorow i have a meeting with someone at 11:20am so that would be ideal as i will have to keep myself together for that. This morning im gonna get as stonned as a errr crow and all day too. I got my loan yesterday and ended up buying a bike £17.50 ( i knocked him down from £20) i was so unfit i couldnt even ride it home as it was mostly uphill. Im hoping i can use it to go and visit folks more (and my dealer) I will avoid town in it though as i dont want to be known as that '40yr old fella who rides a bike' as they all seem to be loons and nutters (what does that tell you )

5% beer all day yesterday and i wasnt psychotic at all. Came home and refused to buy more beer at spar and just went to my bed. No fighting, no cheek nothing. Just a few beers. I enjoyed my 'joint before leaving' and with Phil Gordon's Little Green Poker Audiobook in my phone i was content. I got some smoke so lets get smoking
