Vegetarians are getting their underwear in a twist ...

Vegetarians plan to boycott Mars bars after their recipe changed to include animal products.


Other big brands from the same company -including Snickers, Galaxy, Twix, Bounty, Milky Way, Maltesers and Minstrels - are also affected.
From this month, chocolate manufacturer Masterfoods has started using rennet - an enzyme taken from the stomachs of newborn calves - to make whey for its products. It had previously been relying on a readily available - but more expensive - vegetarian alternative to rennet.

Never understood the point of being a veggie , ive only met three before and they were right pasty faced f**kers , also underweight as it happens.
One of them was watching me knock a Steak & Ale pie into me , he was drooling , he might have been gay and fancied me , but i reckon it was the pie he wanted to get his teeth into...

Anyway , what do you lot boycott ?

Thinking about it, I don't thing you hear as much from the old veggies nowadays since all the publicity about the smoking ban. Just shows what the public's priorities are I suppose.

Not that I smoke but I'm all for killing cows and eating them. It's what they're there for. I haven't got anything against veggies as long as they fuck off somewhere else with their lentil soup and don't try to make me feel guilty.

When I was younger, I thought it was a good idea to go veggie soon got sick of it, as the food bloody boring. I am not a huge meat eater normally, but I do like a bit of beef

Ive always found vegetarians an interesting concept for myself. I have loads of Chicken, ham and burgers etc. But then if I was made to have to actually kill the animals myself for me to have these things theres no way I would. Also if I ever visited a place where they drive cylinders through cows heads or cut pigs throats etc I expect I would find it all quite disgusting and become a vegetarian as a result. But because its all laid on a plate (pardon the pun) and doesnt even look like an animal its very easy just to eat meat cos it tastes good and it wont actually make a difference to anything as to whether I abstain or not.

So I have nothing against vegetarians at all, I like people to follow through with any beliefs they have and respect that.

I tell you what is a thing id banish to Room 101 so to speak. People who call themselves Vegetarians but will eat Chicken and Fish - Fcuk off. Do it properly or not at all you absolute cretins.

I remember when the Mad Cows Disease thing happened and the veggies loved that. Some of them even mustered up enough energy to smile for the day.

I'm a veggie, since the age of 4. For me eating meat is just a concept that isn't real. Imagine eating a table - you just wouldn't do it, it's not a possibility - that's what meat is like to me. So it's no use when people say, "you don't know what you're missing" and try to tempt me with the smell of bacon etc.

Couldn't give a fuck if anyone else wants to eat animals though.

when i was about 9 or 10 we used to go down the slaughterhouse [ it was next to the grassed football pitch we used ]and watch them kill cattle , sheep and pigs. at the time we used to think it was humane as they gave the sheep and pigs an electric shock to stun them before slitting their throats.the cattle were placed in a single stainless steel compartment before being shot in the forehead
i still eat meat and did not find it distressing , just normal.
the only thing that i found strange was the blooding of the cattle into a steel bucket , the stirring of the warm blood and taking out lumps ,this blood was used in the making of black pudding

I can remember the exact moment I became an ex veggie. It was the minute the smell of bacon wafted under my bedroom door. It made me reconsider those words.

and I thought
