Best Places For A Night Out In Uk

Looking to get away for a weekend with my mates and i would be interested to hear what everyones views on a night out where they live and where they have beenin the UK.

Not been out on a night out in manyplaces i have to say. London, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

Wasn't too keen on London i have to say. Too many cnuts up there own arse there and the clubs etc were quite strict so i couldnt arse about as much as i may have liked too

Glasgow i've been a few times and quite enjoyed it. Only problem was everything seemed too far apart so was a pain walking from place to place. Saying that maybe it was just because i wasn't familiar with the area.

Aberdeen i think is great for a night out and better than the two i mentioned. Not too big a walking distance between everywhere and there is a huge selection of different styles of clubs, bars etc.

Mainly interested in Edinburgh, Newcastle and Manchester although i will keep on open mind on any other places mentioned.

Can recommend Manchester from when I was there as a student, but it's been 4 years since I left (and 7 years since I was there as a "proper" student, as opposed to a postgraduate), so don't know what it's like nowadays.

What about Newcastle Kiko?

Having worked in Edinburgh for about 20 years now I can never get enthusiastic about a night out here. There is plenty of variance if you pick Edinburgh though.

You could have the "studenty" Grassmarket area, lots of bars etc.

You could have the more "upmarket" George St which has lots of "in" bars, Le Monde, Opal Lounge (Prince William been here a couple of times I believe), Living Room, Bar 38, Ricks (£5 a pint in here I think).

You could do Lothian Road and have a fight at the end of the night. Or at any part of your night actually. Near the top of Lothian Road and before you head into the Grassmarket you could have places like Burke & Hare and Western Bar, sure you would enjoy them.

Rose St used to be good for a pub crawl. In the 80's....but its crap now.

I am sure there is loads more places but if you are picking Edinburgh then give me a shout and I will put a wee bit more thought into where to go or not to go.

Yup, a pint in the Western is an unforgettable, experience.


Especially if you fancy a over the ropey old strippers wearing manky nurses outfits and 'dancing' on a wooden box for the punters..
If you've got a fetish for the smell of domestos also, it'll be the greatest place you've ever been.

Remember to choose your night carefully, as mickeypaul only works there on a weds, i believe.

I remember the first time I was in the Burke & Hare. A mates stag night in Edinburgh, I didn't realise it was a strippers but the place was mobbed (Scotland v Wales rugby in Edinburgh that Saturday afternoon). I had been out in the afternoon, everyone else was out from about 7pm so I had a "head start".

I remember being very pished and turning around and seeing this lass, she looked about 15, standing on what turned out to be a stage but I thought was a window ledge. She was topless and seemed to be just pouring a bottle of baby oil over her (small) tits while standing there, no dancing, no music or anything. Well maybe there was but I can't remember. It took me a while to realise I was in a strippers, I just thought she was being a bit of an exhibitionist

Sounds like a pub in high wycombe called the white horse Crowie.

Just a normal pub and had stripping shows on in the day pretty much just middle aged men leering at a couple of birds prancing about amongst an otherwise normal pub atmos. Maybe a couple of students there whove got wind of it as well.

There was a live lesbian show once and it was actually proper explicit like, very random. Also theres a curtain and alittle cubicle in the corner for certain things. I only went once with some mates cos they were banging on about it and I didnt believe them. Was just very weird.

Thinking on it - that mate of mines has always hadproblems with shit. Remember at school when he went and obviuosly took a dump. He was wearing a white shirt and when he went to wipe his arse the shirt must of got caught and he proceeded to wipe his arse on his lovely white shirt
