Formal police caution for Boruc

Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc has been cautioned for breach of the peace by police for blessing himself in an Old Firm match at Ibrox in February.

The Crown Office said the procurator fiscal had issued the caution as an alternative to prosecution.

A spokesman explained that Boruc's actions "included a combination of behaviour before a crowd in the charged atmosphere of an Old Firm match."

And that the Polish keeper's behaviour had "provoked alarm and crowd trouble."

I would assume that someone told him that blessing yourself on the pitch [at IBROX ] is not the cleverest thing to do .So he did just that!!!!
Once a complaint has been made the police are duty bound to investigate and to be honest the pricks that made the original complaint should be embarrassed by the outcome as it does their team no favours what-so-ever.

However , Mr Boruc has endeared himself to the Parkhead faithful now and will no doubt be revered as a hero in Celtic eyes for the rest of his natural.

Many footballers in other teams often bless themselves and nothing is ever said and noone cares. Yet somehow because certain teams are playing they should have different rules ? Not really fair when other players who bless themselves in other teams have no repercussions yet cos this guy plays for an old firm team he does. Remember the uproar when Mo signed for celtic and everything ?
