As far as I remember, incest wasn't handed down to Moses as a commandment so did God introduce some others that we aren't widely known.

I was brought up Catholic, attended mass every Sunday for 25 years or so and have to admit I had beliefs that God existed. Maybe not as strong as you or Alien but still some form of belief. However we were taught that God was good and fair. I then had a particularly shitty thing happening in my life and after that I couldn't or don't believe anymore. If God existed in the way we were taught, it wouldn't have happened. My mum still goes to mass every day, my sister every weekend but I don't anymore as I just cannot believe in the existance of God.

Not the case crowie. It's quite common for people to lose all faith after a very unchilling occurence. Like a son/daughter being inexplicably killed in an accident or the like. God gave man free will and with free will terrible things happen.

You then of course get things like natural disasters and if someone is killed in these they blame God and lose faith etc too.
It can completely depend on your stance in a sense.
Wasn't too long ago that there was a rather large tsnuami causing unbelievable destruction. Some people's stance on this was why did you let this happen God ?!?!?! In one part there was a village that was completely wiped out apart from one building - the religious building. I think it was a mosque. One person said ah look the tsunami has destroyed everything but Allah has saved the mosque.
Now I am not suggesting that is what happened but merely pointing out you can take the same siutaion and have a polar opposite view on it depending on how you are feeling.

It is a choice when we decide to do anything, whether its good or bad. I choose not to go get really drunk despite my desire, cause I believe it woud be wrong. I also choose to get married in a couple of weeks and it just so happens that I desire to also.

I believe homosexual acts are wrong. I don't believe that the desire to do them is wrong. In the same way that I think going out and getting really drunk is wrong but the desire isn't. I don't have anything against gay people. Its their own choice, I won't fall out with someone or disrespect them because they make a descision I don't agree with, as long as its a decision that doesn't hurt me.

Just because something is believed to be wrong doesn't mean it is wrong. Most people believe Christianity to be wrong, doesn't mean it is wrong. I believe atheism to be wrong, it doesn't mean it is wrong.

This is why we have to make up our own minds, precisely because we can't have definite answers to anything.

An argument could be there (dont know if Christians think this or not but it would be my interpretation if I believed) that God gives you temptations to overcome etc. I think even Jesus had temptations and stuff in one of the stories but he didnt succumb to them and thats the example set there I guess.
