So
Betfair are going to be a bookie as well?
On the face of it, this sounds like a VERY stupid idea from
Betfair. If they are best priced on say a couple of selections, say 10pts better than anyone else, then they are going to be offering the double (or greater) at much better prices than any other bookie. They are going to get business but its not them (
Betfair) who are doing the pricing, its the markets.
Maybe its just me but if the bets are stuck directly with
Betfair (and this sounds like
Betfair are then going to pay you the winnings) but the odds are based on the singles exchange (I would imagine it will be whatever the best offer price is available) then whats to stop someone offering 4.00 on Man Utd and Chelsea as soon as those markets open......and then having a double on them via
Betfair multiples.....and then taking down their offers on the singles markets once their double is confirmed
