Re: Fruit machines
Hold Buttons Flash
The machine has three matching symbols in a row directly above or below the win line and the hold buttons flash differently to a normal hold then hold all three and the win will just drop in. Some machines require you to press start first after holding the reels before the win drops in. The Cancel Button Very often machines will allow you to slow down a skill selection by pressing the cancel button - try it! This is sometimes known as "Wedging". The Three Holds You have two matching symbols on the pay line and the machine allows you to hold them three times in a row then on the third time they will drop in to give you the win or the feature. (This doesn't work on some machines) Hold After Nudges When you have nudges and no chance of getting a win from them then nudge in two matching symbols - if they hold then you win - but only if you don't hold them. An exception to the rule is machines with a screen you will normally need to hold them - it'll usually tell you. |

Re: Fruit machines
I think it depends what machines you are on and what version of software is in them. There's a hell of a lot of shit out there and you could go broke following it.
If Alien gets to read this, he may bless you with some of his knowledge if you're really lucky. He used to know everything there was to know about the subject and made a fortune from them but that was five years or more ago and I'm not sure he's kept his hand in. He should be able to point you away from the bollox though. |

Re: Fruit machines
Most of you will know this, but for those that don't: Fruit machines will seperate you from your cash nearly as quickly as a coke habit.

Re: Fruit machines
Probably - if you're an idiot.
You may have missed the bit in my post above that says that some people have been known to make money out of them. It's a classic case of "what a man can invent, another man can find a way to fiddle". |

Re: Fruit machines
I think most of the loopholes have been closed now (I may been wrong) but there were people who made good money from them (Alien was one of them), but it often meant travelling around the country looking for certain machines (and ones which hadn't been 'fixed').
The problem is that if anyone knows some kind of trick which works then the last thing they are going to do is post it on the internet for millions of potential rival players to read it. |

Re: Fruit machines
UK law states that the minimum percentage for payouts must be 70 per cent (68 per cent on cross channel ferries). This means for every £1000 it collects, £700 is paid back to the players - leaving £300 profit. In theory anyway. The payout is averaged over a series of plays, but this is not set at a particular amount. The machine can go over and under this amount and the design of the software can make a big difference.
If you want to beat then get the key, Ebay used to sell them.. You can (on some machines) find out what it has taken, and also make it dump the hopper. Years ago me and my brother used to get money out of the 2p/10p sliding things. We used a bent coat hanger up the shoot and just wiped the bottom tray.Took a bit of skill to get the coat hanger in, but when you were done you just pulled it out and put it in ya coat. The old machines with a metal coin slot used to be easy. Get an electric starter out of an old gas fire.. You want the spark bit. Put that onto the coin bit and make it spark. It used to earth out at the nearest point and give you free credits. Ahhhhh the good old days.. |
