Anyone do the alleged £50 free betfair/facebook bet today
For anyone who's been living under a stone, the following was posted on Betfair's "official" facebook page (facebook.com/betfair) yesterday evening
You have until noon tomorrow to predict 5 winners across European football (including UK) this weekend using the comment box below. Anyone who gets them all right will have £50 credited to their Betfair account Caused quite a bit of interest (well, that's the whole point I guess), with 800-odd entries taken by the cut off of midday today. Although every theory possible has obviously done the rounds at the bf phorum water cooler, I think it probably is genuine. The facebook page I am sure is bf "owned", and would not have let a hack go on this long. Someone then produced a set of T&Cs, which were nothing to worry about. So will be interesting to see what happens. If it is genuine, I'd love to know how the hell they're planning to process the winners. Anyway for the record I did Barca, Sparta Prague, Livingston, Porto and Benfica. |

Re: Anyone do the alleged £50 free betfair/facebook bet today
They posted a link on facebook today to submit your bf username & password. Have just done so and got a little message saying thanks. Some chuffers crying con but bf have posted about the promo on the bf forum itself so I'm pretty certain it's legit. Most likely the lab rat braniacs came up with this great idea about how to capture a new generation of betfarians but didn't think of the logistics, rather than I've just handed over one of my accounts to a Nigerian Princess. We shall soon find out!

Money sitting in my account this morning. Some of the more sea bed inclined betfarians still having problems so it seems, tho could be something to do with the fact they've been posing as John Shaft on facebook and praying on under 8s

This ain't right. Sending login details is forbidden in any websites. Even in Facebook. I don't think it is save even if Betfair have their own FB account. It could still be hacked by anyone. I don't really like this idea.
