Multiple Betfair Accounts

Hi everyone, just wondering if it is allowed to have 2 betfair accounts i want to have 1 seperate for my football betting and 1 for other things.
If it is can I sign up with a promotion code or will betfair frown upon this.

I actually have 2 accounts.

1 hasnt been used for over 16 months or so though.

Reason i have them is i lost my switch card and got a new one so signed up again with that and just used that instead.

Never had a problem yet

You may have as many Betfair a/cs as you have different methods of funding.

I have 2 a/cs one with my debit card and one with my credit card.

You will not be able to use your own referral code (I tried) but the main disadvantage is that the commission disount is seperate for both a/cs therefore you won't get as big a discount than having one a/c.

I'm under th impression that you should not have more than one account, as if they find out about it they will suspend them both.

The most obvious reason -according to their policy- is preventing money laundering., as one could fund an account with "dirty money" then place losing bets, and take those bets using the other account, hence laundering the money with a 5% commission (or less, depending on your discount).

You can have as many accounts as you want , theres no rule - FACT !

What they do frown upon is doing the promo code on more than 1 account , as its 1 free £25 per person ,not account .

You used to be able to get away with it ,until a few people (me included) did a lot of accounts taking advantage of this loophole . A mate of mine used paypal , registered the max 7 email addys ,and did7 seperate accounts . He did this at least 20 times and got away with the lot .

Its your call what you do, theres a 80/20 chance that theyll let you get away with the 2nd free £25 or not. If not they just suspend your account until you send of you ID .

The comission rate doesnt really come into it unless your betting huge amounts .

I used to bet really big , well 2k bets big , and after 3 months i was down at around 4.2% from 5%.

Wheh betting in £30, £40 etc it never really goes down unless you bet on every event going , or i guess if you trade the figures may go through the roof . Not sure how that works tbh

Money laundering and free offers aside, I'm not really sure what the advantages are to having two accounts. After all, you can get your profit and loss figures broken down by sport at the click of a button and, as has already been said, your commision figures are going to suffer -although the restructuring makes that less of an issue for smaller gamblers than it used to be before Betfair got greedy.

Actually, they really don't care if you have hundreds of accounts. I have at least 10 accounts and will still add in the future. I just felt like it changes my luck every once in a while.

Hi Evil, Yes, you can have as many accounts as you want, but you cannot use the same credit cards with each account. So if you want three accounts, you need three seperate credit cards. Georgeross
