im strarting to think that the xbox360 is my best option. i want online gaming on a solid platform. Just looking for a mouse and keyboard (that works well) and if it does and call of duty 4 looks good (which it will) then i think im gonna go get me a brand new shiney one tomorrow.

Peripherals: XCM XFPS Xbox 360 Keyboard/Mouse Adapter In Action

looks like its all a bit manual still and also you cant use the mic. you need to get a wireless headset too. ill see how much all this is gonna be. oh and a wired joypad.

Komp i am just flying by

I just bought the 360 the other day. Hardly had chance to play much but its amazing from what i have played.

£30 for a year subscription for online play.

Was playing a royal rumble online last night on the wrestling game. Amazing!

You will love the first shooters too!

Re: Xbox Live or PC?

Ehhm its tempting aint it as i love online game play, good thing about pc's is that u can assign butttons to where you want them and there are fewer action keys with a joypad so shooters aint quite the same, i should imagine sports and driving games would be a lot better though.

COD 4's out soon too and i couldent imagine playing that on anything other than a pc but i wouldent mind a go of some other games like Halo and Fifa as mentioned on the xbox 360, only £30 a yr u say Kiko, that sounds good to me.

Re: Xbox Live or PC?

Well, i got pro evo soccer 2008 (aka iss) last week and it plays like a dream on the PC.... Fuck off if ya want any FIFA games, however. :shitegames

Dunno how much cash you've got to spend Komp but i prefer the PC to consoles and i'd look at Ebuyer - Cheap Computers, Laptops, Digital Cameras, TVs & more! etc and get the exact components you want. Sure, it's a bit dearer (not that much though) than Dell, etc but you'll get a better system, imo. That's what i've done anyways.

Online play might be a deal breaker for you but command and conquer 3 online on a decent PC is as good you'll get imo.

Re: Xbox Live or PC?

right i fixed my brothers comuter by putting a new graphics card in. ill speak to him later about it. Bought one of these as it is well needed
Toshiba SD-270E Guide | Product Details - Kelkoo

takes me about 50 open and closes of my old divx player to get it to read the disk. im usually asleep by the time i get it working

so a wired controller is £17 and a wireless headset is £22. thats £40 notes. i think that mouse and keyboard is about £30. Sod it im just getting a basic one for now and just play nmon 1st person shooters. i like ISS a lot and also i like a good driving game so the conmtroller wont be a prob. Lets go shopping

Re: Xbox Live or PC?

iss pro 8

Last year's online offering was fairly lamented by gamers, at first for being unplayable and then for being slow. It's therefore disappointing to see how little things have changed in the new version. Lag still affected many of the games we played, and while it's nowhere nearly as bad as the PlayStation 3 version, the problems still need to be addressed. The only game modes are ranked and player matches. Thus, the complete lack of online leagues and tournaments is restrictive when compared with many other sports games on the market.

£50 a game ffs. tnhats the only game i was interested in. i dont think im gonna bother. im gonna spend all my money playing fruitmachines and whores today
