Re: Call of Duty 4 - Online - Playstation3
I play it a lot for the 360. The problem is that when you start you're getting ass kicked because you're new to the game, your reactions have been dulled by the onset of puberty AND every frickin kid has a bigger gun!!!
Get yourself onto the search and destroy games when you're ranked high enough. It's small maps and lots of kills so you'll rattle through the achievements for your guns in a few hours. Then get back into the free for all and spank the kids with your big gun and trash talkin |

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Online - Playstation3
PS3 is the way forward. The problem is that game has killed off everything else! I've got oblivion, which is easily 600+hrs of gameplay, and ive done around 2hours because COD4 is just so addictive!
Although i had a stinker of a run on it yesterday, the sort that makes you come close to throwing the controller out the window |

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Online - Playstation3
You're right about it being addictive - I have to get a fix of it everyday...
Which online tournaments do you normally play on COD4 Skinny? I just play Free For All - But I'm starting to get a bit tired of 'kill someone-I get killed-respawn-kill someone-I get killed-respawn' etc.. Gotta learn what the other games are about ! |

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Online - Playstation3
Any 'capture the flag ' options on the ps3 version Tricky?
Its a great way to blow off the cobwebs and have a change of scenery so to speak. Free for all is just mayhem IMO and i've never liked it as theres no time for any strategy, well not in COD 1 or 2 anyhow, best to get annexed with the allies or axis in a real game of war as thats where COD excels in a real team effort and having to think about ure next move rather than just going in blind and blasting away where you usually end up dead like Komp did. Never played the 360 or ps3 versions but from what i've heard they sound good allthough the standard xbox version wasn't a patch on the pc which in its day was probably the best game i've ever played. so good in fact It's the only game i've ever paid the full price for. |

Re: Call of Duty 4 - Online - Playstation3
There is a capture the flag option Slick - The problem is the different games don't really explain too much about what the game is about..
To be fair, most serious gamers only play the shoot em ups with the pc - not games consoles, so I would have probably agreed with AlexRoss, but anyone that uses the word 'skillz' doesnt deserve any acknowledgement... Last edited by trickrick : 16-02-2008 at 08:18. |

I may be the crappiest player armed with a rpg, but I'm now level 41, and now won a few 'free for all's as well
![]() However there's nothin more demoralising than hearing 8 year old kid with a headset takin the piss as he shoots everyone to oblivion.. ![]() What's this 'clan tag' business anyhow..? I've given my tag as [stud], but god nows what it means.. ![]() |
