Re: Xbox Live or PC?

i dont like playing consols on my own, so its good i have 2 friends who are often willing to visit to play halo 3 or pro evo with me on xbox live.

buy everything you can, a big poker win can go a long way with techno logy. ive got an xbox and a good tv for it, and a decent pc (laptop aswell for couch/bed internet), when the broadband works i can sit for 6 hours straight with halo.

you cant back up games onto a xbox 360 hardrive. only way is to flash your dvd drive's firmware and make a backup copy of your game by hooking up your 360 dvd drive to your pc.
looks like you can then play them. So its just flashing the drive. Online play wopnt be allowed. Let me go look at the price of the games. Kiko what ISS have you got btw? Is it laggy online?

Re: Xbox Live or PC?

I have a mate who flashed his xbox360 so he can download games for it, very easy to do aparantley, I am sure you could find out online how its done. If I remember correctly though you have to have a certain type of dvd drive to burn the games correctly.

The 360 games are too big to fit on a DVD so you have to use dual layer DVDs - which means you need a dual layer writer too.

Re: Xbox Live or PC?

Cheers chaps. Well i got drunk (would you believe) and woke up at midnight with £270 spent on an xbox i dont know why as i wont even play it. I got the latest ISS 2008 there but cant get online ...as it's a tricky bugger especially as i already have 2 computers on the network i'll have to read up on it. Im away into town at 9am to finally pay my rent and ive got enough left for 'Dead Rising' that should do me for a while.

Re: Xbox Live or PC?

cheers Seen. Is there an on that list that isn't a 1st person shooter? i really dont like playing them with a controller. Im struggling a bit at Dead Rising on the shotting modes. Great game mind. Been playing it the past couple of hours since getting back from town. Prob with my telly is that the subtitles are coming up a bit small and i cant read what i supposed to be doing

Got a MTU error when trying to go online. Need to fix that. And i said i would finiosh the frontpage of tdp the other night. Im prefering Dead Rising I aint even played poker and my uploading business has stopped. Just need a few days off the drink and i'll catch up.

Re: Xbox Live or PC?

Sorry Komp, I thought that your fav genre

Anyway, I would defo get CONDEMNED....not really a shooter, more a first person action survival horror, to tend to club people to death rather than shoot them. Actually it's pretty creepy, great use of sound.

The Godfather is pretty good too.
