Playstation Three & HDTV

i am looking to buy a ps3 and a hdtv i have a 360 and a wii already so dont need anyone to argue which is better lol just want to complete the set and was wondering whether anyone knew anything about where it was the cheapest or the best deal for the 60gb ps 3 and hdtvs what should i be looking for to see how good they actually are cos 17 inch and 32 inch are the same price in currys one is goodmans the other is orion are you just paying for the name?????? response much appreciated think am going to get before pro evo 2008 comes out!

Ok pirce, but I am under the ipression that htat means a smaller hard drive..Doesnt mean a lot if you don't use your hard drive mind..

By then way K33nan...I've been reliably informed that pro-0evo is actually not as good as fifa08 for the ps3..

You need a HDTV by the way if you get a ps3...Probably the diffenerence in size and not in price is due to the fact that one is 1080 as opposed from 480ish or something..Not qute sure, but if you get a small tv it won't matter..I got a 26 incher for the spare room which does the job...

We bought a 42 inch HD TV this weekend and a playstation 3, wasent that impressed with the PS3, untill we played it on the new TV, and it does make a huge difference.

There seems to be a lack of good games for it round my way though, gonna have a look on Ebay.

We got Bewolf with it, which we havent played and resistence the fall of man(sp) or something, we bought Vice City 4, which is good and LOST.

I like statedgy games, anyone recomend any good ones thats out for the PS3? I fancied the new civilisation one maybe?

resident evil 5 will be a must when it comes out Liana, just spent most of the night looking at tellys myself , its a never ending task , only want a couple of cheapos for the bedroom and kitchen but its like looking for a house as theres that many.
I'm gonna chance my arm with a couple of these refurbs that come with a 12 month warranty, not a bad price at £120 as Comet are knocking them out for £350 but I'll see what there like when they turn up, main thing i was after was freeview and HD and they meet that criteria so we'll see.

I bought Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution at Asda last night and played it till the wee hours this morning, I am good at statedgy type games, and pick new ones up quick. I am feeling that there is not much more I can do in the game, a game lasts maybe 1hour + then I beat all the armies and thats me.

Booooooored now.

I was up the town looking again today, there defo aint much out there game wise for the PS3.

Aye thats whay i aint looked at it yet Liana, not till bluray disks and burners come down in price any how and i can get it chipped.

Well my tellys turned up with no fcuking remote controls well they sent one but it was for a different set and when i phoned up telling them about the problem they said they don't keep stock of them and as they are refurbished can't do fcuk all about it and do i want to send them back, as i can't turn the tellys over without them or do anything with them tell the truth I said it wouldent be a bad idea in no uncertain terms (even one would have done me).

I wouldent be so pissed off but i phoned them the morning after i ordered them to confirm they had remotes as i noticed they were selling the same sets at a higher price with no remotes and they confirmed they did have remotes. lying bastards and i won't be dealing with them again.

he sure does CG but in my case its becoming more the norm than anything else, seems i can't do or buy anything without it becoming a stress point, there was a time when i considered myself lucky but the older i get nothing seems so straight forward anymore, maybe its juts me or did i not notice these things when i was younger, Keema will say its because i'm becoming a grumpy old bastard but i'd like to think theres more in it than that and the old motto of 'the customer is always right' is no longer the case as most of the time when i phone up to complain it leads to a major set too with me wanting to strangle the cnut on the other side of the phone.

That maybe half the problem as at one time all deals were done in a shop face to face but with the advent of the tinternet these companys think they can do what they want and get away with it which really gets up my goat.
