im being a bit tighter with my betting this month and on the look out for free bets for the each weekends football.

reading that offer has me thinking that trading a £50 betfred bet off on betfair would be the best option, its amazing that after so many years gambling online ive never gone with them.

is the free bet to be used for single bets only or could i treble up some teams this weekend with it? ive asked them the same question but if any of you have experience with it let me know.

I'm pretty sure you can put it on a treble mate. Some of the offers stipulate that the price of your bet has to be over evens but I haven't seen any who say that it has to be a single.

Terms and conditions for first £50 free bet. As above, your initial bet does have to be at a price of evens or over - see clause 3.


I can see nothing restricting your free bet to singles.

1. Internet, call centre and mobile customers only.
2. Customers who deposit via Moneybookers and Neteller are excluded from the free bet offer.
3. The cumulative odds of the selections on your first bet must be Evens or greater. If the odds of the selections on your first bet are less than Evens, you will not be eligible for a free bet.
4. Your free bet will usually be available in your account within 24 hours of your first bet being settled.
5. Applies to your first bet only. First bet must be settled within 30 days of account opening in order to qualify for the free bet.
6. You must stake £5 or more (or currency equivalent) on your first bet. Betfred will credit your account with a free bet of the equivalent stake up to a maximum of £50/€75/$100. Your free bet will be awarded in the currency that your account is held in.
7. Previous account holders are not eligible for the free bet. Anyone opening a Betfred account that has previously held an account with us that is closed does not qualify for the free bet.
8. All free bets are valid for 30 days after issue. Any free bet amount left unused after 30 days will be removed.
9. The free bet offer is for new customers registering an account with Betfred. Existing account holders do not qualify.
10. Your first bet must be placed on sports book markets, numbers or lotto only (Games, Casino, Poker and Bingo do not qualify).
11. One free bet per customer only. In the case of a customer opening more than one Betfred account, we reserve the right to suspend and close duplicate accounts, and make void any bets placed.
12. Free bet stake is not included in any returns and is non-withdrawable.
13. Free bet offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
14. One free bet per household.
15. Betfred rules apply.
16. Non-runners and/or bets made void do not qualify as valid bets for your first bet. If your first bet is a non-runner and/or made void, you will not be eligible for a free bet.
17. If your free bet is placed on a non-runner, the bet will be made void and the stakes returned to your free bet balance.
18. Your free bet applies to sports bets (excluding Tote pool bets), numbers and lotto only (Tote Pool bets, Games, Casino, Poker and Bingo bets do not apply).
19. Betfred reserves the right to withhold any bonus payment if it believes that the promotion has been abused and/or where the terms of the offer are not fulfilled, or any irregular betting patterns are found. The decision of the Betfred management is final.
20. Betfred reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time, for any reason and without prior notice.

yep. read the same thing, will look out for all the early horse prices in the morning. not in a huge hurry as im likely to place a football bet this weekend anyway.

might be lazy and just go for a tight market (ie snooker, tennis) and use another bookmaker with a similar offer to go for each outcome, lose maximum £10 but get £100 in free bets if i get the right odds, one £50 from each. would consider that excellent value for money, even with the free stakes not being returned should one of the other bets go onto win.

I traded off my £50 BetFred bet today on an NHL game tonight, Toronto are evens on Betfred and I layed them on Betfair at average odds of just below 2.1, so ill make a small loss if they lose but I had a spare £8 or so on there from old poker money which I'm happy to give up as part of the deal.

Shall withdraw whatevers left over between the accounts (bar my rags t nothing quest). Isnt it great having no patience?
