He looks dreadful compared to when finishing 2nd - decent enough rehearsal otherwise, just about hitting the big note at the end, and some effort at a stage show.
Think this one is a bit underrated and nothing there to make me think otherwise. The backing track at the start and throughout is superb, her vocals are solid, choreography(not here) is good, and its overall a strong entry(lyrics aside), maybe not to win but should go very well.
Her dancing looks pretty poor, but otherwise a lot better than I was expecting - she's a lot better on the long notes than I thought, although drops off the notes a bit in the chorus.
He's as good as he sounded on the original, tho I still dont like the middle bit, altho her vocals are decent too. Not much to dislike, just got to work out how a duet is likely to fare...
I quite like it, but don't think Europe will. Eurovision audiences need something to latch onto - Lordi had costumes and stage stunts and ridiculous lyrics, this one is just a rock song on its own and doesnt offer much beyond decent vocals.
A little better than I remember the original being...still the Netherlands aren't a nation that ever get much support so it would need to be more original or eye catching than this to have much chance of progress.
Eurovision likes wierd...but does it like arty wierd? Haha, I do, the song comes across fairly strongly once it makes it to the chorus...the beginning is still weak. I'm not sure if the voters will have lost interest by then, but after that it's original and you could easily be humming along after a few minutes.
Vocals were never likely to be a problem here I guess. If it were an native English speaking audience only this would probably hose up, but the lyrics and idea is gonna be completely lost on the rest of Europe.
Singing is solid, but another which takes too long to do anything. Sounds very much like a film soundtrack type song this - its very well sung and presented, but when you've heard the first line you've heard the rest, and this could be the 'kettle on' song.
