Re: Sweden

She does. I really feel for her to be honest. Good thing though is that her nerves (far as I can hear) NEVER come through in the performance. This song seems absolutely tailor made for her voice and that's a massive plus. Oh, and it shits all over the other two in my girly opinion. She's basically Dolly Parton without the tits..... oh god no.

Re: Sweden

Just got a little samfin noice on the 33/1 outright at betfred - she seems to be quite popular in the polls too so it aint just me you beastly rotters!

2.50 for the top 10 at betfred too I see (8.00 for a top 4).

Re: Sweden

6pts @ 2.56 for a top 10 it is(mixture of Betfair and Betfred), with a cheeky 2pt bonus bet @ 8.00 for a top 4 with Betfred.

Top 10 is as far as this goes I think - probably......she needs to stop being such a tard late on in the song and do what a winning performance needs and belt the notes out.

That aside, 2.60 ish for a top 10 is an insult...its one of the most solid top tenners at over evens I've ever seen. Well performed, simple, sweet...jurys will lap it up, a certain type of voter will love it, the Skandinavians will give it a lovely boost, and overall I really dont expect much of a sweat top 10 wise.

See Mickey, I do like it!

Re: Sweden

I've considered it for top10 as well, but just to play the devils advocate:

it didn't actually score very well among the international juries at MF (very well with the Swedish juries though):

Re: Sweden

Yeah I remember that from finals night ss...its a concern. Do you know the make up of those juries - I tried to find out but my limited knowledge of Swedish held me back!

The jury votes that night seemed all over the place for most songs, but I would have expected a more consistent showing. Would still be shocked if this didnt do very well with Western juries and voters though...not counting on much from the south east, but for a top 10 its not necessarily needed.

Re: Sweden

Top 10 - back of the net baby! I can't imagine much of a sweat on it either. I can't see it doing either brilliant or terrible with juries to be honest as it's not offering anything original or particularly interesting (it'll do just fine though I reckon).

It's just another of those very middle of the road entries that's quite enjoyable and well performed without being mind blowing. I think the quality stands out more in a pretty shocking year though so it'll be a massive *THUD* from me if this is pushed out of the top 10 by some of the garbage around.

Re: Sweden

Which people that was a part of the international juries was never revealed other then that the head of the jury in each country was the same person that is the head of that countrys eurovision delegation. She ended up with a 6th place tied after the international juries vote and it could be an indication of what the international juries think about the swedish entry, but I hope not.

Re: Sweden

Her voice sounds....weird...in this. Much prefer the live versions though so its no concern. Still thinking this is a solid top 10 song - ticks a lot of boxes and the song type/stage show/performance is simple and blends quite well, which I think offers the song the immediacy it needs to get enough televotes. Sweden's recent record is pretty poor but then again its been a while since they entered a ballad.

Re: Sweden

Your Scandi pick has some decent odds @ Ladbrokes Mickey.

Top Scandinavian Entry

Denmark 1.73
Norway 2.9
Sweden 4.5
Iceland 8
Finland 18

I do think the bookies have it about right at the moment. I do want to see a new live version of Denmark before I consider either Norway or Sweden.

good question... either way still heavily reliant on a new Denmark performance. One to watch Mickey! Although, she needs to stop sounding as if she's about to vomit.

Re: Sweden

Going for the same setup in Oslo as in the MF final - they have ordered 35,000 of those red lights for each of the audience to hold. Same dress too - just one 'suprise' they say.
