Has elements of REM and seems to remind me of Walking in Memphis - Marc Cohn (more the tone than the tune).

Solid performance. Connects well with the audience. Should earn a decent proportion of votes, but that 1st group is one hell of a tough call.

Must surely become Belgiums first ever semi qualifier, and it seems to have enough to distinguish it from the other ballads, but I'd agree that it never quite gets where it needs to go. Deffo one to check back on, something to work with there, maybe a bit too suited to the charts for Eurovision.

Hate the lyrics a huge amount and hate his voice almost as much. I hate the song quite frankly. But it certainly stands out enough and I suppose there will be enough people who find it all rather nice. That's cool. I'd be surprised if it aint in. It actually reminds me a bit of Denmark last year in it's overall feel and performance. That Ronan Keating kinda shit.

It is. Still one of the most horrid, whiny, voices I've ever heard though. Really prevents me warming to this. That and the embarrassingly shit lyrics: "Whine.... whine.... just me and my guitar...whine..."

I'm guessing it'll do ok with judges who will think this is what people think is really groovy. I hope it aint but it probably is. Could you honestly listen to this guy sing for more than 3 minutes? Loving that Belgian/American accent.... *THUD*

Agree, he feels like a complete preformer. I cant stand Greece and I don't think they will win semi 1. It should be good value to bet a couple of the other nations to win semi 1, and Belgium is probably one of them.

Good performance, but it sounds a little too charty for Eurovision again, im not sure it has enough impact to nab a top 10.

Agree that it may do well in the semi though...if Greece bombs and Slovakia struggles with her vocals then this could be the one to pick up the peices.

Take it it's just me that hates his voice? He sounds like one of those rugrats cartoon characters. That's what continues to hold me back on this. I'm worried the finals crowd will tend to be as harsh as I am and just want to punch this fucker in the larynx.

In the final, I agree, it maybe lost amongst the stronger opposition, but it's one of those that has gathered quite a following. Luckily, I have only really considered it as a qualifier and nothing more at this stage.
