Re: Belgium
Mickey's gonna hate this...
It's probably because Keith at the akoe blog suggested it could be a 'surprise winner' after the rehearsal performance, and I'd say that is probably the most watched blog in terms of rehearsals at Eurovision, so it usually moves markets. I think many attach too much importance to his views in terms of betting though - the intricacies/variables in terms of what makes a song successful at Eurovision have changed a lot in a short space of time and I think the traditional bloggers are playing catch up in that respect - it wasnt long ago he was suggesting Greece were likely to start as favourites for this years contest. Like you say Ake there's nothing different there to merit any market move - nothing we didnt already know...probably just stands out because of the rubbish around it. Come Wednesday evening when we've had some of the better entries rehearsing then this will be a distant memory. |

Re: Belgium
Mickey hates that!
Nah, it's all cool with me. I can deal with people liking everything I hate and hating everything I like. I don't particularly hate this in the same way as many of the others which is almost a seal of approval from me. I'd rather just forget all about this one and focus on things I feel 'good' about. |

Re: Belgium
2nd rehearsal. This is starting to get to me now. It'll do fairly well, but jeas, I want to do questionable things with that guitar by the end of the song! It's as if he's read a book on "How to sing in American by Blink 182." |

Re: Belgium
Sorry but I'm now letting this get personal. I'd gladly shoot him and stop that horrific whiny droning voice ever hurting anyone again. I honestly cannot bear this anymore. I could accept some people enjoying it mildly but other than that, I truly despise this with passion. More than any other I think for pure concentrated hate. It's the most whiny whine whine whine piece of whiny whining I think I've ever heard.

Re: Belgium
First song I've listened to and i quite like him and his guitar, very catchy indeed, the sort of song John boy Walton would sing or even the Belgian Johnny Logan
I reckon this will do well so long as there's no fiddling going on amongst the soviet states. |
