ok, you don't need to agree. you can have personal opinions, maybe it is not your style of music. but they were 3rd and Romania wasn't in Yugoslavia, wasn't in the USSR (they have a pro-USA policy now) and their neighbours gave them almost no points, 0 Bulgaria or 2 Ukraine, Hungary didn't give points, Serbia not much... all what they earned it was because they deserved it! that's why I believe they are the real winners, because Germany sung awful live even the song was nice and Turkey only 8 points ahead of Romania and they got a lot of points from their neighbors...

i am pretty sure that you both listen Edward Maya or Inna or other Romanian artists who were in top in UK too!

While it's probably unnecessary to ridicule songs in general, it's pretty obvious that we do it ALL THE TIME here in this forum. I really don't see why Romania would be the sheltered exception. Should Beanie/Gav/Mickey throw a fit when I call UK the worst entry in the finals?

As for empathy, I think it would be pretty much worse to mock a losing bet, than a winning one.

Exactly. I was actually mocking myself which is why I was a bit surprised at how offended people were getting. Music is a passionate business though I suppose. I'll never take the piss out of a Eurovision song ever again.
